I would not do this but it was fun to see and hear this fella the other night.
Here is a pretty good side view of his flying contraption.
We were at the neighbors...so I managed the old windmill in the photo.
Monday was a quiet day, I killed some ants and did some laundry. I put ribs in the crock pot, Far Guy made us a baked potato and green beans.
We are getting some smoke from the wildfires up North.
Far Side
Nope...not for me, either!
ReplyDeleteRibs sound good...

Yikes, those fires. We haven't been getting them down here. Just terribly foggy damp mornings.
ReplyDeleteMy one neighbor has one of these things and he flew over our place last summer. It sounded like a huge skeeter and the mules didn't think it was so great.
I'm with you - that would be fun to watch but I couldn't do it myself. We are very overcast this morning and the local news says it's partly wildfire smoke.
ReplyDeleteThe first several years we lived here someone in the area had one of those and flew by almost daily. Then it stopped and never started again. We smelled smoke a couple of days ago but I don't know if it was from Canada.
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't do that either but there is always someone seeking thrills.
ReplyDeleteThe smoke is starting to clear out here. I went out this morning with my tea and did not smell it in the air. It certainly cooled things down, at least for a few days. Hope you get some relief soon.
No way for me also. Scared of Heights.
ReplyDeleteI hope they can get the fires out quickly.
WOW! You took TWO great photos!! We are getting the smoke also. Fires are so awful
ReplyDeleteonce upon a time I would have done that. But not now days.
ReplyDeleteAs someone who is scared of opened heights, you will not seem doing this
ReplyDeleteMy kids climb mountains, but with their feet still on the ground, or the ice. They smelled smoke at 10,000 feet yesterday.
ReplyDeleteNot for me. I don't like heights. We didn't go to the coast as planned for this week mostly because of Mom but also because there are so many fires in Oregon that a State of Emergency was called. As we drove through western Montana the smoke was so heavy we were choking on it in the truck. Yuck! Thankfully the rest of the trip was good as far as the air quality but flooding was close to becoming an issue again. It's always something.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Betsy
Oh dear, I had a mental image of you chasing ants around the place trying to kill them (my warped sense of humour, sorry). Dinner sounded good :)
ReplyDeleteA lawn chair with a parachute. Crazy fun. I'd probably do it again if I could :-).
ReplyDeleteSmoke is thick here, too.
ReplyDeleteI'm with you...heights are not for me. Ribs sounds great! Be careful of the smoke.
ReplyDeleteIt does look like a fun activity but I’d be too frightened. Been killing ants, too.
