Both of our arms were really sore!
After the covid booster Far Guy felt like he had been hit by a truck, he had the chills, headache and body aches.
As per my normal reaction...a fever and fatigue. I slept all night Friday and most of Saturday. I was somewhat achy...but again that is normal for me.
Between the two of us we managed a trip to the transfer station to get rid of our garbage and together we managed supper...which was pretty easy we just warmed up leftovers from the fridge.
Far Guy woodcarved outside for awhile. I managed to paint a few Christmas ornaments.
Our old place on the lake....we lived there nine years (1986-1995). That is the boathouse that is directly on the lake.
My arm is sore from yesterday's jab, but nothing like your reaction. Instead of feeling like I was hit by a truck, I feel sideswiped by a big hornet, maybe. Glad it' behind me, though.
ReplyDeleteYeah, those side effects never seem to get easier. Glad you're on the mend. I heat up my leftovers in the microwave 🙃 take cAre, Kris in Ohio
ReplyDeleteThose shots do cause your arm to be sore. Sorry you all have felt bad from the shots and hope today is a better day for you both. I really struggle with thoughts of taking the booster shot. Do you miss living on the lake? Your old place is so pretty. Sounds like you and Far guy are making great progress on the Christmas ornaments.
ReplyDeleteSince it was a resort with a campground, I do not miss all the cleaning however I do miss the lake sometimes:)
DeleteGlad the reactions weren't anything outside the norm for the two of you.
ReplyDeleteDo you miss not living near/on the water? It looks like a lovely spot.
We plan to get our booster and flu shot next month. I got sick from the first vaccination but not after that. This is a new one so who knows what it will be. That had to be a lovely place to live, right on the lake.
ReplyDeleteYou have lived in some pretty nice places.
ReplyDeleteHopefully, the side effects will pass soon. I scheduled my shots for next Friday - thanks for the reminder.
ReplyDeleteSo very thankful you are starting to feel better. Hooray for food in the freezer! I generally have something we can grab from there, too. It comes in handy on days short on extra cooking time or like you all who are feeling under the weather. You are to be admired because you know that good nutrition is necessary for good health.
ReplyDeleteHow you two both managed to get things done when feeling so cruddy--wow!
ReplyDeleteThe place on the lake looks beautiful. :)
I hope you both feel better soon.
ReplyDeleteHope you are both feeling better soon. Side effects are not nice. Mxx
ReplyDeleteHope you’re better tomorrow. I’m getting my boosters in October.
ReplyDeleteSounds like you are both recovering. We are waiting until October to get our flu and Covid shots. My hornet stings are finally calming down. Still some swelling, redness and itching, but now much more tolerable.
ReplyDeleteThat is a nice picture of your old place on the lake. Hope you're both feeling better soon.
ReplyDeleteOuch on the reactions but hopefully you both come out of it quickly. We are gearing up for our shots too. I have my annual wellness check up next week so I'll schedule our Covid shots then.
ReplyDeleteThat house on the lake looks pretty nice. I always wondered if a house on the lake would feel colder near all that ice in the winter....
I totally understand the COVID booster reactions! Not fun for those who get it. I don't react well to the COVID shots, but I get the shots anyway. Take care!
ReplyDeleteSorry! That anonymous comment was from me: Goodnight Gram.
ReplyDeleteWe are trying to kick some colds before we get our vaccines. It's like trading one misery for another.
ReplyDeleteThat shot does a number on me too! My doctor told me they had several Covid patients in the hospital.
