I don't think I have seen this flower before, but I love the pretty yellow color. This is an adorable photo of Peach with her 1st birthday cake. Looks like she enjoyed it.
Lady slippers are always a favorite flower of mine, since growing up in Minnesota. Can't decide which I like better...the yellow or the pink! I love the birthday picture.....so sweet! Hope you're doing OK!
I saw my first ladyslipper in person last January in London. My daugher-in-law took me to an apothecary garden that has been in existence since the early 1600's. It's where the doctors back then grew their medicine. It was fascinating and I really enjoyed it. But it had ladyslippers growing in January. So pretty. Peach is a doll and that cake is really pretty. It looks like she had a wonderful time smashing it! First birthdays are always really special. Blessings, Betsy

ReplyDeleteLady Slippers are a treasure. Ours were pink and smaller and a rare find in the woods.
ReplyDeleteThe lady slippers are one of my favorite wildflowers too. I've not seen in yellow in our area, though I keep looking. They are pink here.
ReplyDeleteThey are one of the coolest flowers! It is always a treat to see one as they grow so randomly in the wild.

I remember Ladyslippers growing wild in Manitoba. They were yellow; I don't know if any pink ones grew in our area.
ReplyDeleteLove the name Peach! Also, Lemon! I'm 72 but if I get pregnant again...and have a girl...She'll be called Lemon...lolol
