Sunrise on Monday

Chance and I woke up before the sun on Monday morning.  My baby brother in Oregon wanted to see some sunrise photos.  I usually enjoy the sunrise from indoors..or at least from the front door, with one eye open and one eye closed..and yawning!   I am so not a morning person.  In order to see a sunrise here you have to get into the car and drive out of the woods.

First we drove down the highway a half a mile. The clouds were layers of golden pink colors.

Then we turned around to go the other way..and we spooked a bunch of deer..Chance thought he was a big shot scaring them as they ran all over like a bunch of wild ants.

We looked for a good sunrise spot.  This one is over south of the cemetery.  Then we went and lollygagged around over at the Dead Beaver area..where the water is really high because of all the rain..
Sun finally appears Sept 26 Back out on the prairie and it is finally a sunrise.

We are having a warm spell, the itty bitty tiny Deer Ticks are out again..Chance had six of them today..all crawling on his white fur. When we get a hard frost they will be gone..I cannot wait.  It was cool this morning....but my Jammies kept me pretty warm, and Chance was good company.  When we came home I saw a flash of white tails in my nephews drive..I quickly rolled down my window..a bunch of deer were trapped between his dog Bailey..who wears a collar for an invisible fence and Chance who was dangling out his window barking so hard that he was making me giggle and making the car move..so none of those photos are decent enough to share.  So the big news of the day is there are way too many deer in here again, I figured as much.

I hope you enjoyed the sunrise trip..I won’t be doing it on a regular basis..unless of course I just stay up all night until sunrise and then go to bed:)

Your sunrise pics are beautiful - sunday morning Hubby and I didn't have the vibrant colors - just the sunset orange! We want more sunrise pics --- I'll drop off some coffee!

Thanks for getting out in your warm jammies with Chance to capture such a pretty sunrise. Love the deer shot. I love them and hate to see them killed but that is what happens. I have more coming into my yards than in the past 3 yrs since I've been there.

Nice pics! Your fellow "not morning" person is enjoying them this morning. Oh, I'll get up, it is just best not to expect much. I like that you went out in your jammies! Have a great rest of the day and thanks for the sunrise!

I like the fact that the sun rises a tad later for treks like these....4 am. is much worse.

One year about this time I went bird-watching for migrating fall warblers in an old cemetery next to the woods and after a while I noticed this itchy feeling on my legs and I was covered with hundreds of tiny seed ticks crawling up my calves. We raced back to her house and I took a hot shower to wash them away before they could embed. It gives me the willies even now to think about it.

Wow - pretty pics Connie and Chance! I thought I was the only one to slip out in my pj's occasionally! ha
My nephew was set to go to JAX and got a third and better offer to stay in MN another 6 mos then he can live where he wants.
He's hoping your next 6 mos. are milder than usual!!!!

I don't know which I enjoyed more - - - the pictures or the stories of Chance. He had a great time, too, even if he couldn't appreciate the the sunrise!

I am up early, but I don't know that I would want to go outside, jammies or not. Well around here you can't do the sleepwear thingy. Tooooo many neighbors.

I feel another deer rant coming on...LOL.

Beautiful sunrise! Where I live now, I can't see the sun go up or down as well as I used to but I'm like you, not likely I'm going to get up and go looking for a better view, although now that the sun gets up so late, I could probably manage it.
