We went for a Ranger Blue ride and delivered some jelly to the neighbors. I counted my Chokecherry jelly jars...32 are full. So no need to pick chokecherries to make chokecherry juice this year for jelly. It was not a great year for Chokecherries as it was a bit dry.
As we made our way around the "block" we got to see a rainbow. The rain missed us and went South.
If you have a real good imagination you can see the double bow off to the right.
Far Guy has Tilly all polished up and ready to go to a car show this weekend.

Looks like a good evening for a ride. Lucky neighbours who received your chokecherry jam!
ReplyDeleteFun seeing rainbows on your ride! I clearly see the double. Great shots!! Enjoy taking Tilly to the car show.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the weekend car show! I noticed the faint second rainbow right away. The main one is so vibrant. So beautiful.
ReplyDeletenow that is no imagination... there is another rainbow to the right. Beautiful pictures.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful rainbows!
ReplyDeleteI have never heard of chokecherries before, what are they like ?
Jillxo
I can see the rainbow on the right. Enjoy the car show.
ReplyDeleteAhh, a beautiful rainbow. God's promise to us.
ReplyDeleteWe've had abundant rainfall recently. Mandy said their sprinklers haven't even had to be used in over a month. The gardens are huge. Have fun at the car show.
Blessings,
Betsy
YAY! A DOUBLE RAINBOW!!! YAY! YAY! YAY!
ReplyDeleteIt is lovely! What a treat.
ReplyDeleteJill at emerald cottage, Chokecherries are tart and earthy tasting all alone....but with some sugar they sweeten up nicely:)
ReplyDeleteLove a double rainbow!
ReplyDeleteThe rain came through here twice--very briefly. Was moving fast apparently...kind of flashed through because we were on the edge, I think.
Have fun at the car show! :)
I do see the double rainbow. Have fun at the car show!
ReplyDeleteI see double! Never had Chokeberry jelly. Have you had Muscadine?
ReplyDeleteGalla Creek, No in fact I had to look it up to find out is is some kind of Southern Grape:)
ReplyDeleteI can see it clearly without my imagination. Car shows have to be a lot of fun and I am glad Far Guy found his old car. My neighbor polishes his newer cars continually so he sparkles all of the time.
ReplyDeleteThe second rainbow is quite easy to spot.
ReplyDeleteI can imagine how good the Chokecherry jelly tastes. I made Blackberry jam. I think I ended up with 11 jars. For a change I got the jam sweet enough.
Nothing like chokecherry jelly.
ReplyDeleteThe rainbow and the double rainbow are beautiful. So nice that you have such a stock of your chokecherry jelly. We had such a good chance of rain yesterday and only ended up with 1/4 inch. Such a strange summer for no rain.....yet we were bombarded with snow last winter. Hmm....wonder what's coming this winter. Seeing lots of pinecones hanging on the trees now.
ReplyDeleteDouble rainbows are pretty. I've never had those kinds of cherries. Are they like regular cherries?
ReplyDeleteOh the rainbows! Love the double one, that brings extra good luck right?
ReplyDeleteWe did get some rain finally again. Things were getting so dry and now we have a bit of hope again!
The happy whisk, They are smaller than a pea:)
ReplyDeleteI LOVE YOUR RAINBOW! Had to look at it again!
ReplyDeletewhat a beautiful photo of the rainbow and I see the other one too!
