The brush in the woods is changing color.
The bean fields are turning yellow. The fawns still have their spots and they are still visiting our yard...eating acorns that have fallen to the ground...the more they eat the less I have to rake up.
It turned a tad warm and humid. 84 F or 29 C Far Guy wood carved out on the patio, we went to recycle and the Post Office and I picked tomatoes. I had a nap in the afternoon. Got up just in time to cook some supper...chicken, green beans and peaches.
Far Side
Our AC was out when we woke up yesterday. It was 99F with a "feels like" of 119F. needless to say, it was miserable sleeping last night. I also had a flat tire yesterday in the middle of the hot afternoon. The enire day was like that with one thing or another. Not fun.

We're seeing some change in the leaves too, and it has been cooling off nicely overnight. That always says August to me.
ReplyDeleteIt's been raining this morning, and the higher temp that was forecast has been lowered today. I'll take it.
Some leaves are dropping but it's a while until we get most leaves turning color and falling.
ReplyDeleteNo signs of Fall yet. We are VERY hot and humid. It's miserable.
ReplyDeletePeaches---yummmm
ReplyDeleteI bet those peaches were from your greasy ones. Yummy.
ReplyDeleteI can smell Fall on the morning and evening air: it’s coming.
ReplyDeleteIt's looking like an early fall here too. Leaves started turning colour arounf August 15th, that's about 3 weeks ahead of time.
ReplyDeleteWhile driving to the Quilt of Valor presentation on Sunday I noticed the changes in the bean fields too. Hoping this is the very last super hot day here for this year.
ReplyDeleteGreat picture today. We had some clouds too and they dropped a small amount of rain....just enough to settle the dust.
ReplyDeleteThose all sound like signs of Fall!!! You get it before we do but that means it's coming!!! My favorite season although we are having excessive heat warnings so it's hard to get too excited.
ReplyDelete84 sounds so pleasant. It's been triple digits here for sooooo long and no rain. Very tedious and not fun. But there's a reason for everything that happens.
ReplyDeleteI don’t know how greasy got in there…I was typing fresh. Oh, well.
ReplyDeleteFall is on the way!
ReplyDeleteI remember leaving Minnesota in the summer to go back to work and leaves were changing. Our heat is going to turn us into an early fall with things fading under the heat.
ReplyDeleteIs it the dog days yet? I'm sure looking forward to fall.
