I ran errands while Far Guy had his infusion. I had quite a list at Wally World. Main Street was full of cars, there are still a few tourists around.
I have a list of many others things to pick up here and there but did not feel up to doing it yesterday. One day soon I will have Far Guy drive me around and drop me off here and there to get everything on my ongoing project list. Embroidery floss, Seven Ant Killer, white primer and paint, a wood sealer for some wood trim that needs a refreshing and bath tub molding...our tub has a rounded back edge and the sealant and molding need to be replaced.
My Cousin Chuckie came out to visit us in the afternoon and my baby brother and his bride and Baxter visited us in the evening.
1933 Buick that was at the last Car Show.
The oven repair fellow is supposed to be here today (Friday) to fix my oven. It works for a couple of hours then makes dinging noises and shuts itself off. It is a Jenn-air range that is 24 years old.
Far Side
I hope the stove can get fixed!
ReplyDeleteIt sure sounds like you have a lot of projects to get done.
I will one day get back to doing some embroidery projects, I used to love doing that years ago. I made up my own 'pictures' and put them on patches of jeans that I intended to make into a blanket.
:)
I sure hope he can fix your oven as you won't like any of the newer ones as well most likely :-/.
ReplyDeleteThat is a beautiful car with a very lovely color. I like looking at some of the old cars but enjoy the better rides of the newer ones.
ReplyDeleteWhat a blessing to have an appliance that has lasted two decades. Most of them used to have longevity until manufacturers decided to produce what some call "throw-away" appliances which last ten years is you are fortunate.
Fingers crossed the oven can be repaired. Replacing an appliance is a stupidly expensive proposition these days.
ReplyDeleteYour list is quite long.
ReplyDeleteI had a Jenn-air range in our house in Spokane. I loved that oven. It fit 6 9x13 pans in it at a time! I used to lots of cooking for the youth group and it sure came in handy. I hope the repairman and fix it quickly.
ReplyDeleteWe have one more really hot day today and then it's supposed to cool down to 89 tomorrow! Hallelujah! But when did I ever come to think 89 is cool?
Have a great Friday Connie.
Blessings,
Betsy
I love the car!
ReplyDeleteI have never had the Wally World experience. There isn't one anywhere near me. Fingers crossed for your stove.
What a fabulous old car! There will be a car show tomorrow afternoon here as part of the Corn Palace Festival, and I plan to take a stroll to see what gems are being displayed.
ReplyDeleteHope that oven gets fixed.
Hope hubby feels better and you're able to get your oven fixed. Can't believe you've had an appliance that long, they just don't last. Seems nothing is built to last more than a few years.
ReplyDeleteI had to get a new stove/oven two years ago. I wish I had my old one back.
ReplyDeleteGood luck on your over repair.
ReplyDeleteThat's a big list of projects. Don't overdo it.
I have a Jenn-air cook top that is about 50 years old. I hope you can get it fixed. My oven is a built in Whirlpool of the same age and I spent $300 and got it fixed. Still cheaper than a new oven!
ReplyDeletethat is my favorite color green in that car.
I sure hope they can fix your stove. I had to buy a new one and now I cook in the microwave, crockpot and toaster oven because I hate it so much. Too much technology yet it can't heat to the correct temperatures and is nothing but trouble.
ReplyDeleteNice looking old car. I like how the hood opens.
ReplyDeleteHope you'll be able to get all your errands run soon. Hope they can fix your stove! We still have a lot of tourists here too....at least until after Labor Day and then again when the trees take on their beautiful colors in the Fall. Take good care and get a lot of rest.
ReplyDeleteHope you can get your oven repaired.
ReplyDeleteMy mom got a Jenn-Air when she remodeled the kitchen when I was a teenager. It was awesome. I hope they can fix it!
ReplyDeleteYou sure have a list of supplies for the to-dos. It never ends, does it--lol!
