Thursday Things

Thursday is Far Guy's Infusion Day.  It was a three stick day...I think he was a little dehydrated and that makes it tough to get an IV.

I got groceries and we delivered them back at home and then took off to an eye appointment.   Far Guy is in the end stages of his Vitreous Detachment from last Spring...nothing to worry about right now and he feels better knowing what is causing the flashes of light...just a normal part of aging.  To celebrate not going blind we went by O'Reilly Auto Parts and DQ.

A long time friend of Far Guy's was at the car show on Wednesday with his  1979 MG.

Do you still order your groceries online?

Ohhh I love that MG! I know my MIL always had a hard time with any blood work, she refused to drink water at all, she drank juices and coffee so she was always dehydrated.

Eye issues just creep me out. My floaters were scaring me, but now I know what they are...

Glad to hear FG's eye problems are not that bad. And also happy to hear you and he got out and about a bit. :-)

Good to hear that FG's eyes are doing well.
Love the color of the MG! What a cute little car.

Nice car! Is it older than mine was? I order and pick up groceries, too. I have difficult veins, it's no fun.

That MG is a beautiful car! I had my annual physical Wednesday. They had to stick me 4 times to get blood. I'm such a hard stick. It used to be easy until I got my pacemaker. I think they went for the veins one time too often and now they all run and hide when they see a needle. I drank three of my 16 ounce thermo cups of water before the appointment too. It just doesn't seem to make a difference with me.
Blessings,
Betsy

Cute little MG. I had a friend with one when I was in college. What a fun ride! Well, in the summer anyway.

Online ordering is a game changer, isn't it? I just ordered laundry detergent from Walmart for pickup this afternoon. And the online price is better than instore. Plus I don't have to get out of my car and hike a mile from the parking lot, a mile inside the store, work as a checkout clerk, bag my detergent and hike to the car. And I don't have to comb my hair, LOL. DQ and a car show sounds terrific.

Isn't it funny what we celebrate now versus what we would have been celebrating in our teens or 20s, for example. Always totally worth celebrating whatever brings us joy and gratitude, for sure! Makes me chuckle thinking about how that has changed over the years--lol! :)

I'm not an easy stick, either. Ugh! I hope the car show made up for it. It sounded like a fun time between the cars and the visiting.

Glad Far Guys eyes are alright! When my ex and I were dating in high school he had a 1952 MG, British Racing Green color. If I remember correctly though when it rained I had to manually run the windshield wipers...from the inside of course! LOL! Could that be?

Altogether too many ailments are just a natural part of aging. My 50 plus year-old daughter was recently told that the flashes of light she was seeing was "due to aging". Didn't that freak her out! At 50 something no one wants to hear those words.

We had a mg midget long ago. I wrecked it.

I have the black floaters once in a while. I know mine is related to high blood pressure. The brown car is an unusual color and I like it.
