Animals are just like people...some are better babysitters than others.
This years calves must like their babysitter.
We are busy again with the ongoing weekend garage sale. Getting rid of "stuff" when no one is around I have been working in the other garage trying to clear some "stuff" out....finding out from Far Guy what stuff goes with other stuff. I will most likely forget...but he has forgotten about some of the stuff he has out there. "Oh yea I remember that now."
Far Side
Good luck sorting the "stuff" and getting rid of what you don't want to keep around any more.
ReplyDeleteNot many people have calves in their yard. Ha!
ReplyDeleteThey call it a pasture up here! The cattle keep the grass short:)
DeleteWait...cows? Beautiful picture!
ReplyDeleteBest of luck with the sale this weekend!
ReplyDeleteI really need to have a garage sale but...first I really need to sort.
ReplyDeleteOh does that sound like us.... "I remember that now"! *haha* Good luck with your sale this weekend. I know that's something we should do too and get our lazy butts in gear! ~Andrea xoxoxo
ReplyDeleteWhy do we keep so much stuff. Our kids don't want the stuff. They have more than we do.
ReplyDeleteThose babies do look happy and well behaved! Good luck with the sale. I have so much I need to get rid of around here.
ReplyDeleteIt wasn't until my brother moved out to the acreage that I learned that cattle actually do have nurseries for the calves as they grow up. One or two cows seems to be tasked with watching the rugrats. :)
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the sale!
I keep getting rid of "stuff" but I swear it multiplies over night. I can empty a closet, get rid of half of it and the other half won't fit back inside!
ReplyDeleteLooks like an idyllic painting. Brown cows are my favorite.
ReplyDeleteGetting rid of “stuff” seems to be a never-ending project after a certain age.
Cheryl and I just cleaned out the shed, too much stuff! Feels better when we can move around again without bumping into stuff.
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't expect to see cows as lawn grazers. I am the keeper of stuff in our family. Moving helped thin out a lot. I don't mind giving things away, just don't want them thrown out if they could be useful. Some people are in need stuff. You know what they say, one mans trash is another mans treasure. Have fun with your sale!
ReplyDeleteWe need to do some de-stuffing too.
ReplyDeleteHow lovely indeed
ReplyDeleteHope you're having a good weather weekend for your sale! Hope all goes well.
ReplyDeleteLots of luck with your on-going garage sale. Getting rid of 'stuff' is a good thing.
ReplyDeleteMy dad kept a heard of hereford cows and sold the calves each summer. They had timber to live in and they would roam just like wild beasts. My dad did name a lot of his 27 cows. He fed them hay in the winter.
ReplyDeleteThere is one cow out in that field that is a great calfsitter. When we were in charge of watching all of the cattle there is one that stayed back by the barn in the shade trees while the rest of the herd was at the north end. A good momma!
ReplyDeleteI think an auction will have to be done at our place, I need workers to come and sort stuff as in piles of lumber, tools, and two sheds full of STUFF. Most of it questionable, but probably of some value to others who like Stuff.
