Down to the River

We went for a ride one night down to the river that feeds into Straight Lake.

It was a warm day and was much cooler in the woods.

We thought we might get a glimpse of that bear that has been in the area...no luck.

It was a nice quiet cool ride....we didn't see anyone else until our ride was almost over...and those we saw were relatives:)

  6. I might be pretty frightened if we saw a bear. My husband is create at seeing animals by the edge of woods or fields. We had the grandkids with us when he saw three deer in some high weeds up ahead. They giggled the rest of the day when we drove close and saw it was three donkeys in the weeds up to their ears!

  11. What a pretty road. I bet you were tempted to take your shoes off and cool off your feet in that river. I miss swimming in Minnesota lakes.

  17. Aww, that first photo reminds me of Spokane and road around the lake we used to spend summers at. I must admit to being a bit homesick for there. The mountains and no humidity are calling to me. I know I'll get over it though, just as I got over being homesick for here when we moved to Spokane.
I'm glad you had a good afternoon and also that it was bear-less. They can get mighty angry if their space is intruded on.
    Happy 4th of July!
    Blessings,
    Betsy
