The Lead Plant is blooming. It is a plant that is native to Minnesota.
Grocery day was uneventful...missing a few things. The person that delivered to the car at wallyworld said that the store should order more when they know that the tourists will wipe out the shelves. Town was very busy. Gas is up to $3.09 a gallon.
I took my Dad to Bingo, we didn't win. We missed last week as Dad was real sick...he had cellulitis....he is much better now. ( Cellulitis is a bacterial infection of the skin) He told me he was so sick he nearly died. He did well at Bingo...he only missed a few numbers....I either point them out or daub them for him.

Wow, I'm sorry to hear your dad was so sick. Hope he feels lots better now!
ReplyDeleteHappy to hear your Dad is feeling better. My friend's son is suffering from that right now and has had it for almost a month. Sun is shining this morning with temps around 60 degrees. Loving it. Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteI love the lead plant and I've only found it a few times around here. I'm glad your dad's cellulitis is doing better. I know my MIL had that along with other issues.
ReplyDeleteGlad you were able to pick most things up.
Our Walmart was half barren just before the 4th but they had things restocked this week right after the holiday.
Thanks for sharing about the lead plant. Had forgotten what it is so-called. Our gas here in Manitoba is $553.55/ US gallon. Jean
ReplyDeleteI hope your dad is getting better for the long haul. I never heard of that disease before. And gas is even more than that here. :-(
ReplyDeleteBoth of my brothers have had cellulitis several times and have been hospitalized for it. I'm sorry about your Dad having it but glad he is so much better and could go have fun at BINGO.
ReplyDeleteOur stores have quite a few empty shelves too. It's really a strange sight here in the US but one I'm wondering if we will have to get used to having.
Blessings,
Betsy
Sorry to hear your dad as been so very sick. Praying you all have a better weekend.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry your dad was so sick but sure glad he is feeling better now!
ReplyDeleteI was told that miners used to think the Lead Plant indicated ore beneath the ground below it. I love their frosty leaves and purple flowers. Such a delicate contrast.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure your bingo outings with dad are some of the highlights of his week. Even though I'm a Minnesota native, I wasn't aware of that plant. It's very pretty and looks kind of delicate.
ReplyDeleteInteresting plant especially the leaves. Sorry to hear your Dad hasn't been feeling well. I hope he recovers quickly.
ReplyDeleteThere's an online gal on YouTube who also has cellulitis and man, she's sicker than a dog. Hopefully your dad is on antibiotics and will get better soon. Bless his heart for still going to bingo regardless. Yes, gasoline is awful these days. ~Andrea xoxoxo
ReplyDeleteGlad your dad is feeling better and back to playing Bingo. What a cool plant!! Never heard of it. I can't decide if I like the interesting steel blue foliage or the blooms better. I like both! Reminds me somewhat of the Russian Sage I used to grow in my garden.
ReplyDeleteI am so glad your dad is better. Tourists will start to clutter the town again.
ReplyDeleteSorry your dad was so sick...and didn't win at bingo. I haven't heard of cellulitis. I hope he stays well. :)
ReplyDeleteThe Lead Plant is a new one to me. It has interesting colors and the flowers are beautiful. I'm glad to hear your Dad is feeling better and I hope he continues to improve. I know he loves going to Bingo with you.
ReplyDeleteGlad your dad is doing better. I have never seen a lead plant. Very pretty.
ReplyDeleteThe Lead Plant is very interesting. It certainly is the color of lead.
ReplyDeleteYou are a good daughter. I'm sure your dad treasures his time with you, as you do with him.

ReplyDeleteI wonder why it's called Lead plant.
ReplyDeleteOur stores were very busy today too, I guess everyone getting ready for the weekend.
Bless your heart, Connie, you're such a trooper taking your dear dad to Bingo! I'm so glad he came thru his awful illness and can now accompany you to Bingo once again! Maybe you guys will win next week for sure! It's really crazy around here too.....tons of tourists!
ReplyDeleteYour Dad must really have felt awful to believe that he almost died. I'm glad he's feeling better. A big win at Bingo would really have cheered him up.
ReplyDeleteI agree they should order more in of some things, especially when they know there's going to be hight demand for certain items.
ReplyDeleteSorry about your Dad, but glad he was feeling well enough for Bingo this week.
