Yesterday afternoon I mulched leaves at my other baby brothers home. It is most likely my last time there this Fall. Our weather is supposed to change in a few days. The S word has been mentioned a few times...and Red says that he is sending snow from Canada...neighborly of him!
You can see where I have mulched and the area I was working on.
A bit later my other baby brother brought me a bottle of water and she who sees robins first came out to visit a bit. It was warmer than yesterday.
They have a couple of golden colored trees in their upper yard. I mow and take care of my other baby brothers leaves at his home, his shop and another property. He in turn keeps our snow plowed in the driveway and our yard!
Far Guy put away half of our chairs and rolled the patio table away into the garage. We brought in things from the garage that would freeze the other day...car detailing stuff, Round Up, Poison Ivy Killer and Ant stuff.
I should bring a S shovel up to the front door...
Far Side
I’m glad that in this part of Canada the S word is still a ways away. Phew. We haven’t had to put the furnace on yet. It’s a lot cheaper that way. Hopefully it’ll stay away for a little bit longer. Usually we see some in January. Would be nice for Christmas though.

Oh no! The S word!
ReplyDeleteWe have rain all week forecast with warmer temps.
I don't have that many leaves in our yard but we do have tons of pine needles I rake up.
Getting ready for a change in the weather, for sure.
ReplyDeleteI do hope the "s" word holds off for you for some time yet. We're expecting it to arrive overnight, as we're getting rain at the moment which will turn to snow as the temperature drops.
ReplyDeleteYou and your other baby brother have a good system.
Your trees are so pretty! You are a worker bee!
ReplyDeleteI like how you have the arrangement to help each other. Convenient for everybody! That nasty S word. We're expecting some on the weekend too. I guess it is that time of year, but yuck! We were watching some friends on YouTube who living in their truck camper. They were in Colorado last week when 3-4 inches were predicted. They ended up with well over a foot and they were alone in a campground and couldn't get out. Just before their propane ran out they gave it another try and finally made it to the road but it was a struggle. This time of year lots of surprises can happen in the weather.
ReplyDeleteI hope your Monday is a good one.
Blessings,
Betsy
Sounds like a good trade off!
ReplyDeletePlease don't say the S-word.
Sounds like an excellent trade of labor. In another day or two all of the ash trees around here should be totally naked. But the maples are in "show off" stage yet. We're expecting colder temps by the end of the week, but hopefully won't see any of the S word yet.
ReplyDeleteHere in Ohio we had a frost last night and a forecast of 75 on Thursday. Our leaves are all mostly yellow this year. We haven't had a pretty red/orange mix in a while.
ReplyDeleteYou colour is still very pretty. We had frost this morning but they say we could reach 80 degrees on Tuesday. I give up!
ReplyDeleteThat's an excellent arrangement with your brother. We had overnight rain. It is supposed to be in the high 60s today.
ReplyDeleteSorry about sending you the snow but it is what it is. You'll enjoy it and don't forget your snow stick.
ReplyDeleteThe “S” word has been bandied about for the coming weekend. I can’t say I’m surprised. You’ve done a great job on the leaves!
ReplyDeleteYour world is lovely!
ReplyDeleteNo snow here never is and I don't think I would like it if it did snow here as it is just not something I am use to, I complain about how cold our winters are and I know they are not that cold at all
ReplyDeleteI tried to mulch today, but the battery was dead. You did much better than I!
ReplyDeleteThat's a good trade for leaves to snow. I now know why you have record riding hours on the mower. I bet it isn't so fun when the wind is blowing. I did circles around my one maple the other day with my mower. I am sure it looked strange but it do the job until the next batch falls.
ReplyDeleteGlad you didn't mention that S word there at the end. I'm hoping we can get into Nov. before we see that stuff. You sure are a super Mulcher!
ReplyDeleteThe word frost was mentioned here but it's not likely here in the suburbs so close to the Sound. Just lots of rain this afternoon and over night. that's good. We still need a good soaking rain.
ReplyDeleteI like it that you and your brother trade yard jobs.
