Far Guy got the sheep water tank on top of some cement blocks ...all ready for next years tomato growing season.
I messed with the solar lights and got some new ones put out. We recycled and I put "some" of the yard decorations away...not all!
I spent most of the afternoon mulching leaves in our yard and over at another property we call Kates.
The leaves are almost completely out of the trees. In my estimation 80% of the leaves have fallen.
The Juncos are here I call them Snowbirds. We are headed for very cool weather especially at night with Freeze warnings. I brought in the rain gauges so they will not break when it freezes. Far Guy took care of all the water hoses....one project at a time to get ready for Winter.
I must get out my warm Winter boots.

Our furnace is on!
It's always a bit sad to put away things at the end of the season. I got my yardwork done this weekend too. In preparation for the move I also cleared out the shed, packed what I could and stored the rest in the garage.
Cold weather sure does happen fast in your neck of the woods. I'll look for my own winter boots, but they aren't going to be needed any time soon. I hope.
It's nippy this morning. I plan to mow tomorrow, it is the warmest day this week. We still have most of the leaves on the trees, except the box elder. They are bare.
We still have leaves on the trees and they haven't changed color too much yet but the nights are very cold. It was 34 this morning when I woke up, so I know they'll be changing very soon and then falling. Winter is on it's way, whether I want it to come or not. The cold is fine, it's the snow that I detest.
It does seem strange not to have to get a house and yard ready for winter. I do like this condo living though. Lock the door and go with no worries!

I leave today to go north and take care of older grands for a week. I am plotting my "winter" outfits because, unfortunately, this will include lots of outdoor activities.
Very few leaves have fallen here, but most have changed to a beautiful gold. If the predicted snow arrives tomorrow night, the leaves and branches will come down together.
Seems like your fall was a blink. I don’t have to worry about hoses for a while. Our leaves are just starting to fall.
Really gotten cold fast. I'm not surprised the leaves are mostly down already. Stay warm! :)
We aren't feezing yet. We should be but we aren't. Today Terry and I will blow out the pipes at both houses, drain the pumps, and blow out the air conditioner line. Winter is coming, I can feel it in the air.
Your winterizing is sudden. Ours stretches out for months. We may still be mowing the lawn for Thanksgiving. Our leaves are mostly still hanging on, just barely beginning to turn on most native trees.
Very few leaves have fallen here yet but the acorns are starting to fall and the squirrels are hard at it! We get Spring before you but you get Fall before us. I haven't stopped watering because it is dry and my flowers are all still blooming.
It isn't hot here but I am sitting drenched in sweat while it is only 17 degrees

Yall are a little farther along into fall then we are. I located me winter coat, gloves & long johns.
We have been winterizing for a while now.
The juncos winter here too, love seeing them. We have had plenty of killing frosts but I wish it would have gotten rid of the box elder beetles (aka maple bugs). They are awful this year! And they leave poop streaks on my windows.
I will welcome the juncos to my feeder. I almost forgot about them but all I have is sparrows. I did see a jay today for about ten seconds.
