A stick

We had fun watching the neighbor dogs.  Old Putzer has finally accepted Titus the puppy.   Putz cannot see very well anymore...but his hearing is still good.

We got our dog fix.   Titus is a bit shy... he was a bit wary of Far Guy but came right up to me.  After Putz made a beeline to Far Guy then Titus decided he was okay.  Silly dogs....they sure had fun fighting over one stick.

Titus has gotten quite a bit taller since the last time I saw him....his Mom was a Border Collie and his Dad a Great Pyrenees.   It will be interesting to see how big he gets.

Border Collie and Great Pyrenees is an interesting mix. My Granddaughter had a Border Collie when she was in 4-H. The whole family loved Rumor. She was a rescue. The part of the family in North Carolina has two Great Pyrenees. Both are loveable dogs. Titus has great heritage. It will be fun hearing about him.

Sounds like a fun time to me.

Wow, that could be a very large dog! But that is neat. Our neighbors had a great Pyrenees and Gabe was the coolest dog ever. He knew everyone and walk a 2 mile rout every day with his folks or without them and we would stop to say hi to him on the road if we saw him.
Even while very old Gabe would continue his walks and one morning he collapsed.
I drove up on the scene.
There were 4 vehicles and everyone on the ridge has stopped to help Gabe.
Everyone loved Gabe.

It is hard for the oldies to get used to young rambunctious pups, but it is the best thing for most senior dogs. At least that was our experience when our son got Remi (the Bernie). We believe she added a lot to our old Sam's quality of life that last year and a half when he struggled with mobility. She would try to gently play and was always nearby the stinky old guy. Remi would sleep next to him, touching with either her paw or side-by-side. It's as if she knew. It was the sweetest thing to see. Titus looks like he is all legs, so cute!

What cutie pies! My across the street neighbor is getting her new puppy the first part of May. The breeder has been sharing some videos and we are all in love with Katie already. When she lost her fur baby Emma last fall, she thought that she wasn't up to any more dogs. But she couldn't resist little Katie.

Loved your comment about the "dog fix". My 5 yr old grandson asked me last week if I was lonely now that Sammy (19 yr old cat) died. He thinks I need to get a dog, but I reminded him that I could come and pet his dog, and his cousins' dogs when I needed a furry friend to love on.

How wonderful to see these two again. Titus has sure grown! I'm looking forward to seeing how big he is when fully grown.

I'm glad you got your dog fix. As you saw in my last post, neighbor cat Charlie supplies my cat fix too.

Lovely to see them playing together like that.

That’s quite a combination of breeds. It will be interesting to see what the puppy’s personality is like. The stick is a clue, I think; maybe a border collie obsession in the making?

He's going to be a handsome dog! I loved the Great Pyrenees that used to visit you.

A stick. It doesn't take much to amuse a dog. Ours used to love an empty milk jug.
