One more project completed!
I finished up the baby blanket I was working on. It was a fun project. It was Mosaic Crochet a pattern called Apache Tears. Each row is a different color. I have enough yarn left over to make a couple more baby blankets! When I order yarn I do it up good!
Can you tell the baby is a boy ...hence the blue border!
I found a book to send along and a thermal sleeper....the package is on the way to Seattle where my Nephew and his wife live...the virtual baby shower is this weekend. I have never attended a virtual baby shower before...it should be interesting. We may get to see the baby in August when his parents visit Minnesota!
We had a busy day yesterday...I had some eye tests...and after that I had a Dental Appointment because I cracked a tooth and couldn't chew anything...it is all fixed now. Two more appointments for us this week, Far Guy's usual and another eye test for me.
Far Side
The blanket is gorgeous and will be very warm.
ReplyDeletePraying your eyes are okay and the tests show the information needed by the doctor.
That is an adorable baby blanket! Cute pattern.
ReplyDeleteThat is some blanket! Wow! I stink at getting my crochet project done. And it is already crooked.
ReplyDeleteThe baby blanket is beautiful. WE have a snow cover this morning...Ugh.
ReplyDeleteThat is such a beautiful blanket Connie. I know it will be well-loved and snuggled with for a long, long time. That book is wonderful too. I'm still crocheting on Piper's blanket. It seems to be taking a long, long time.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Betsy
The blanket is really gorgeous Connie. prettiest I think I've ever seen!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on the upcoming new addition to the family. And well done on getting another project crossed off the list.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful blanket!!
ReplyDeleteThat is a great pattern! I love giving a children's book too when I gift a baby quilt. A handmade gift and a book - perfect gifts!! My friends (all teachers) held a Baby Book Shower for my daughter when my first grandchild was born.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful blanket! Love the pattern.
ReplyDeleteAn adorable blanket! A virtual shower - sounds interesting.
ReplyDeleteWonderful blanket!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely blanket. Enjoy the virtual baby shower!
ReplyDeleteWow, look at that colorful blanket! Good luck with your eye tests, hope the results are favorable.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful baby blanket! I'm sure it will be greatly appreciated and well loved! A virtual baby shower is new to me too. I guess it's better than not being there and will be fun!
ReplyDeleteI am in awe of your crochet skills.
ReplyDeleteThat is the most intricate looking pattern.
Now, is this the one that the back side of it is striped?
yes the back is striped!
DeleteWhat a gorgeous blanket! And I'm glad your tooth is fixed. Had a dentist appointment myself this week and have to have a back molar extracted. Not fun, but better than an implant and tons of money. :-(
ReplyDeleteAll sweet gifts! I hope you get to see him in August.
ReplyDeleteI think a lot of people are catching up on appointments now that they are vaccinated. It is so nice to go and not be so scared of catching anything! :)
Ouch! Chipped tooth! And you were bragging about no cavities just a few posts ago. Call me superstitious, but I pause every time I wan to brag about how great my life has been. Life will throw a wrench at me! Happy Crocheting!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely gift! Have fun at the virtual baby shower. I hope you get to see the baby in August!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful blanket! And adorable book too. My nephew and his wife had a "drive by" baby shower last spring. You could drive by the house and drop the gift in the driveway. They were sitting in the tree lawn for social distanced visiting with masks. We weren't leaving the house so we had our gift sent from a vendor.
ReplyDeleteI love the crochet pattern. Hoping your eyes will be ok.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful baby blanket you made...I love all the colors. That book looks really cute too. Glad you're getting all your appointments done. Hope you can see that baby this summer!
ReplyDeleteGreat work on that wonderful baby blanket.
ReplyDeleteI attended a virtual baby shower in January. The expectant mother, my niece, lives in Boston, clear across the country from me. It was a great way to get us all together.
The baby blanket is stunning. Colors and patterns are wonderful. Our grandson sent us a video tonight thanking us for his birthday presents. He was coached a little but he is so cute that it made our day.
ReplyDeleteA cracked tooth. Ouch. Good that you were able to get that fixed.
ReplyDeleteThe baby blanket is very pretty.
Your blanket turned out fabulous and I love the colors! What a sweet gift and how cool is that to have a virtual shower! Glad you got your tooth fixed. I need to make appointments.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful way to welcome in the newest addition to the extended family! A handmade gift made with love. The virtual baby shower should be an interesting first! Glad to hear you may be able to welcome him into the family in real life (and not just virtually) soon.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! And the book is a great idea. I wonder if they have those for each state.
