Since it wasn't muddy we went for a ride. Some ones says the new /old car should not be taken out in the mud or snow or rain.
My rides awaits. We stopped by Steve and Jo's and went for a ride around the block.
I drove on the way back home...she is a boat...I would not want to parallel park anywhere.
I finished the cover for the front seat. Far Guy says it is just perfect.
It was a different kind of project for sure.
This week the new/old car gets a new fuel pump and heater hoses...and then most likely to the
detailer for a real good wax. The new paint job will take place next Fall /Winter.
Far Side
I used to drive a 1988 Crown Victoria and she was nearly impossible to parallel park. I love the set cover; looks perfect.
ReplyDeleteThis is something to look forward to. Such a gift.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great new/old car! And the seat cover is just perfect. I would love to take a ride in it too. :-)
ReplyDeleteThat old new car sure is a beauty and the seat cover really is perfect!
ReplyDeleteThe old car brings back memories of when I was young and there were lots of big cars on the road. I remember how everyone talked about how special it was that cars had backends like Far Guy's car has. I've lost the name we called them by at this moment. I have a lot of come and go special words for special things of the past. I'll remember it sometime today. Hope you two have a wonderful day.
ReplyDeletePretty sharp looking wheels!! And the seat cover is perfect. You'll both enjoy this car.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Far Guy, the cover is perfect! How fun that you got to drive!!
ReplyDeleteWe don't take ours out if it's wet - we have gotten caught in the rain a few times. It's not the end of the world... she's just REALLY big and takes a long time to clean! Lol.
ReplyDeleteUnbelievable how big those cars were. There must have been larger parking spaces back then.
ReplyDeleteA ride fit for a queen, Connie.... and that seat cover is wonderful!! Many great outings to come in that beautiful vehicle. Enjoy! ~Andrea xoxo
ReplyDeleteHard to believe we all drove the land yachts not that many years ago! Nice job on the seat cover.
ReplyDeleteThe seat cover looks great! That's quite the vehicle - I imagine it's fun to ride in.
ReplyDeleteTake care, stay well.
Your seat cover looks great! I bet it is fun to take that new/old car out for a ride. I would not be able to parallel it, I have enough trouble with our small car.
ReplyDeleteI remember driving my big old 1964 Impala. They were tanks! Have fun in the new/old car.
ReplyDeleteThe best cars were those big ole boats. I think the name Pauline is thinking of is Lead Sled. I think those big cars are the best for long trips, they ride like silk. I have owned several over the years.
ReplyDeleteYou did a great job on the seat cover. Glad you could get out for a drive.
ReplyDeleteLooks like he cover fits well! Someone certainly took good care of the interior. I'm very happy we do not drive around those monster "limos" anymore. Dad's Delta 88 Oldsmobile was big enough. ( He LOVED that car.... Diesel engine and all...)
ReplyDeleteIt is a beautiful car. The seat cover fits perfectly and I like how you two go driving around to see people in it.
ReplyDeleteThe new old car is looking good. That seat cover is a beaut! Wow....you're getting it repainted huh? Did you find the old color paint? Fall sounds like such a long way off right now! Glad you got a ride in the car!!! Far guy even lets you drive the boat huh?
ReplyDeleteWE are still talking about the color. The color now is Morocco Beige. Yes I got to drive!!
DeleteThe new old car is looking great!! I can't parallel park at best of times but that one? For sure not. The seat cover looks lovely.
ReplyDeleteI bet that is a comfortable ride as a passenger! As a gramma to many, I wonder how many car seats I could stretch across that seat. . . But I would not want to try to park it either!
ReplyDeleteA bench front seat, SO comfortable to ride on. Looks great!
ReplyDeleteThe seat cover looks great in the car!
ReplyDeleteThe seat cover looks great! I saw you four out for your little drive ~ FUN!
