I have a prescription for new reading glasses...not sure that I will get it filled as I am doing okay with the reading glasses I have ...the change was minor...and probably just because they want to sell glasses.
In the mail was an envelope with glasses...all colors.
They are from Jen and they are for the owl May baskets! ( Jen has a Cricut and can cut all kinds of neat stuff out!)
I am going to use some sparkle on them...glitter...and maybe some jewels...before I glue them on the owls...putzy fun stuff.
I was working on the baby blanket when Far Guys new computer arrived...his old computer was on its last legs...he needed help...so I helped him as much as I could....and by George I think we have most of it!
It snowed a bit more and it is cold. The car made it into the Dealership for an oil change and tire rotation. Cross something else off our list!

Love the Owls with their glasses on; so cute. No snow here just very cold and windy.
ReplyDeleteNeat stuff! Oil change and tire rotation are on my list to do this next week as well...and a new laptop. I haven't really figured out what I want in that realm yet, still searching.
ReplyDeleteGood on the glasses. I have to wear mine all of the time and now I can see again which is wonderful!
I am impressed you two were able to take care of setting up the new computer. I assume that is the kind of help you gave Far Guy. I am not that advanced in the computer world. The glasses add pizazz to your owls which were already amazing.
ReplyDeleteThose glasses will be adorable glittered and jeweled!!!
ReplyDeleteIt sure does feel good to have those crossed-off things off the page, doesn't it? I feel the same way. I wish more of my chores were "cross off & forget about them" but unfortunately it seems many of them are "done until next time" type things. Pooey! ~Andrea xoxo
ReplyDeleteThose May baskets are adorable. I had never heard of May baskets till moved to the mid-west. There is always something to do on the to-do list. Seems when things are done & marked off, that many more items are put back on. Karen
ReplyDeleteThe glasses on the owls looks SOOOO CUTE!!! And I'm impressed you got the new computer set up that quickly. It's always a huge to-do around here when we have to do that and the way I help is stay out of the way! :)
ReplyDeleteCute glasses! I've thought about getting a Cricuit for a long time, not sure I would use it enough. I have a small hand held squeeze QuicKutz diecutter and use that once in a while for cards. I don't think they even make die's for it anymore. Did you get another Mac? Just curious if you love them yet :))
ReplyDeleteYes he got an Imac:) So far so good.
DeleteLove this!!
DeleteLove those glasses for the owls. The perfect finishing touch.
ReplyDeleteI definitely need to get my oil changed after the drive here. I think I need to find a dealership as it's always a mess to get the oil changed in my car. Two different places broke the same part and had to order a new one at their cost to repair it. The dealership SHOULD know how to do it, right?
Congrats to Far Guy on a new computer. It's always a learning curve but so nice when they work correctly.
Blessings,
Betsy
Those will be cute on the owls!
ReplyDeleteI hope your snow melts soon.
Love the glasses for the owls! :)
ReplyDeleteCute owls!
ReplyDeleteHave a blessed day!
The receivers of your May Baskets are lucky people!
ReplyDeleteOK - those owls were adorable before. But the glasses are so funny and cute!! Very creative!! We had a bit of snow early this morning but it wasn't sticking on anything.
ReplyDeleteThe glasses are perfect for those owls!
ReplyDeleteGetting new computer is a big exciting event. Then comes the figuring them out--LOL! Sounds like you have got a handle on it, though. Nice!
What Sara just said! Those glasses will be perfect for the owls.
ReplyDeleteWe've had a few flakes this morning but forecast to get to 4C (39F) so I expect a lot will disappear today.
Have fun decorating the glasses.
I liked the owls before the glasses arrived... but the glasses rock!! Don't forget to show one close up before they are gone!!
ReplyDeleteThe glasses are perfect for the May baskets! Snowing this morning and probably throughout the day if the weather man is to be trusted.
ReplyDeleteWhen eye change is a small amount my optometrist advises that it's not necessary for new glasses.
ReplyDeleteI love the glasses and can't wait to see how you make them sparkle! Jen is sweet to make them for you.
ReplyDeleteDid he get a Mac like you did?
ReplyDeleteyes
DeleteHopefully the snow won't stick around long. You definitely need warm weather.
ReplyDeleteThose glasses for the owls are so cute! My new glasses will be ready the first of the week. I know before I get them, I won't wear them. Wish I had never had my eyes examined and kept buying those cheap dollar reading glasses. :) Dan says if I don't wear them he is going to glue them to my head one night while I'm asleep. :)
ReplyDeleteThe glasses are a nice addition. You are going to have fun glitzing them up! (Is that a word?)
ReplyDeleteI'm liking the owl glasses and the idea of bejeweling them.
ReplyDeleteI love all those glasses and can't wait to see them all sparkled and jeweled-up by you! Sure wish I lived close enough to get one of your May Baskets! They are so awesome! I'm glad the car made it for it's appointment. You're pretty darn smart if you can help set up a new computer. We had a computer guy come and do mine when I got my new one a couple of months ago. Such a brainy, crafty person you are. Love your blog.
ReplyDeleteLove your glasses for the owls and know you will not let them be too plain. :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks for making me smile
ReplyDeleteI just wanted to tell you how much I enjoy reading your blog every morning. Your OWL bags are so awesome. What a wonderful friend you are. Have a wonderful day.
ReplyDeleteCute glasses! I thought at first Jen printed out a bunch of colors for you to try for your new glasses (Ha ha).
ReplyDeleteOh, how fun to see all those glasses! And they are just perfect on your owl baskets. You always think of the neatest stuff.
ReplyDeleteI use to be a tech director at my school a long time ago. Now I have to have my wife help me as the tech has all changed. My cell phone needs my wife's assistance every once in a while. I did figure out how to get the app for the show The Chosen.
ReplyDeleteI have yet to get my cell phone working only because i am putting it off. Congrats on the new pc and those glasses and the May baskets are darling!
