An appointment up North took most of our day. Three hours there, I sat in the vehicle while Far Guy was in the Clinic, we visited Andy and Jen had supper with them, then drove three hours home again.
The other day I finally got the Fall flag up!
Far Side
Thinking about you. Sitting in the car waiting for Far Guy reminds me of the times I sat in lobbies or waiting rooms waiting for Tom. That was before the Pandemic. I hope you had something to occupy your mind. Glad you had some time with Jen and Andy.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a tiring day. Hope the appointment went well.
ReplyDeleteYour grandkids and great-grandkids are looking good. Hope Far Guys appointment went well. Love your Fall flag.
ReplyDeleteThat is a lot of sitting, but you got another appt done & enjoyed a meal with the kids. I am still putting up a bit of Fall decor.
ReplyDeletePrayers that the appointments went well. Glad you could enjoy some family time.
ReplyDeleteWow. I get that. I have to go on Thursday to do a long appointment. Hopefully you had something to keep you busy. I know my time spent last week waiting for a tow was good for just sittin' and thinkin' without any distractions.
ReplyDeleteI don't know about you folks, but Terry and I hate driving at night anymore. Three hours...wow
ReplyDeleteNow that was a LONG day wasn't it? Great gift though, getting to see family in the middle of it all. I had an appointment this morning at 8:00. They told me I was the first appointment so I didn't take any knitting. That was a mistake. It was 8:50 before I was even taken to an exam room. Argh! All of that knitting time, wasted.
ReplyDeleteHope all was well with Far Guy's appt..
Blessings,
Betsy
I hope the trip bought some good or at least not bad news.
ReplyDeleteTjree hours is a long drive...well, for me !
ReplyDeleteI too hop the trip was a useful one and that something good comes from it. I think about FG often, wishing him bountiful health.
ReplyDeleteI like your flag...I will be taking Roger to an appt tomorrow. I have to go in with him...his short term memory is such that he cannot remember what he is going for.
ReplyDeleteI have been to our local hospital 3 times already this week and have to go back tomorrow. Luckily it only takes 15 minutes to get there (except Sunday afternoons when there’s more traffic than you could possibly imagine), but the hours and hours of waiting!
ReplyDeleteI hope it was a good appointment.
ReplyDeleteGlad you got in some visiting! :)
Gosh that's a long day. I hope the appointment went well.
ReplyDeleteNot a fun day for you, but at least you got fed by family.:-)
ReplyDeleteThat's a lot of time in the car! I hope Far Guy's appointment went well. I bet you got some crocheting done while waiting in the car. It's nice that you got to see Andy and Jen before returning home!
ReplyDeleteWhat a darling flag, Connie!! And I'm glad you made it home alright, with all that driving. 3 hours one way... lordy! You're MUCH stronger than I am, girl. I'm glad too! ~Andrea XOXOXO
ReplyDeleteWaiting in the car is good, one can read, listen to music or have a nap
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like a long day for both of you. At least you could have supper with Andy and Jen.
ReplyDeleteHope Far Guy's appointment went well. Nice that you got to spend a little time and enjoy supper with Andy and Jen. What a nice Fall flag! Take care.
ReplyDeleteI love the banner!
