Monday Stuff

I try to start out Mondays with everything in place for the week.  Menus made and lists made for groceries and special things that should be done over the week.

Of course a person should be a bit flexible with the weather etc...and stuff that pops up that goes on the "to do list."

Lawn mowing is done for the week...trimming is not...nor is Poison Ivy removal and Thistle removal.  All things country that creep up on me.

Horses and a wagon....I think some young men were getting driving lessons.

We have just a few medical appointments this week...so far only four.  My kind of week.

  1. I finally got my poison ivy stuff in the mail but it has been raining all week and probably won't dry out until Wednesday. I plan my week also as much as possible based on the weather and surprises that might pop up. The horse drawn wagon is neat and those beautiful blue mid-western skies! Have a good week and I hope all your appointments go well.

  3. I keep thinking about all those doctor appointments and wonder how the heck you manage to get anything else done. Only four for the week? Mercy! :-)

  4. Hope the appointments go well, and you manage to cross a lot off your to-do list this week.

  5. I can't even imagine four appointments in one week. Whew! (knock on wood.)
You plan your week out more thoroughly than I do, that's for sure. Hope weather permits getting the rest of the yard work done. :)

  6. I sort of run my comments together from yesterday’s post and today. I really like the Amish photo of them pulling the wagon with horses. They have kept us in an early way of life for a very long time. I remember seeing my Uncle Bill’s farm in southern Iowa having a buggy parked out next to the barn.

  7. I try to plan my week, but the "best laid plans", you know how that goes sometimes. It sounds like you like to keep organized too. Have a great week and I hope Far Guy is somewhat better today.
    Blessings,

  8. I plan our week a little bit. I've learned that unexpected things always happen so I've learned to "go with the flow". I hope your week goes smoothly... you deserve a break from the unexpected!

  9. Now there's a different kind of driving lesson! You are so organized with all your jobs and appointments. Of course with all those appointments I guess you would have to be. It can be too easy to let things go and lose organization when you are retired. I need to work on that! Good luck with all those appointments.

  10. Take time to slow down and learn to drive a horse team. Now there is a thought you don't hear every day.

  11. I have a general routine that I follow, mostly, but other things do have a bad habit of butting in and becoming the priority. I can't imagine having to fit in as many doctor's appointments. Hoping they all go well.

  12. You are super organized. You can't do anything about the medical appointments except go to them.

  13. I have a routine each day but of course things don't always go to plan

  14. Hoping you both have a great week! We're starting out rainy here! We worked hard to remove thistle weeds and poison ivy at our last house.... a never ending chore. Glad we don't have that to do anymore, but miss our huge yard! Got your snow stick out yet? Just kidding....but it won't be long will it!

  15. I'm not that well organized but I did get groceries yesterday and got some work done around the house. Picking up 'junk' and 'organizing' it so I can haul it to the yard where you can get paid for metal junk.
