Blooming

My little garden out front is struggling.  The squirrels have created a freeway down the center and now the baby rabbits are eating blossoms of the Impatiens.    Such is gardens amongst the critters.

I need to replace some of the solar lights the squirrels uses them as jumping off spots...I glued a few they even managed to knock them off... go figure.

Bunny salad bar on the left.
Oh well I enjoy the bright spot in my yard anyway.

  1. Good Morning, It is a cheerful and colorful garden. Squirrels and bunnies are terrible! The heat is destroying most of our plants.

  2. Your little garden is so pretty. I know what you are going through with the critters. Last year they totally killed off (ate the tuber) 3 of my Hasta plants. Oh why are they so cute?

  3. What a cute little garden! I love all of the cheerful colors. The SE side of my porch is full of tall blooming sunflowers of a mixed variety. I had a few different kinds that seemed to cross pollinate and I reuse the seeds. Below them are the 4 o'clocks and the zinnias. No rabbits up close to the house, Charlie chases them away!

  4. Oh, no! I love it! Our cats are too vigilant for them to be close! Although, Hooper brought a rabbit home the other day. Yuck.

  5. A pretty little garden, and I know what you mean about the critters. Have a lovely day. I hope it is not as hot there as it is here.

  6. It looks pretty good to me. The bright color is very attractive, and there seems to be quite a bit left. :-)

  7. I think it's a very pretty little garden. I don't see the damage, but then, I'm a terrible gardener.
    Blessings,

  8. My barney memorial garden has a light in it. The grass was all burned away because of Barney so it works well as a garden now. Your flowers do look great. The impatiens were beautiful. Critters come first for me too. I use to hang them in memory of my mom but I couldn’t keep up with the watering of them. A second wind storm and rain flattened all my glads last night.

  13. Our nuisance is moles. Critters do appreciate our work in creating welcoming gardens for them. :-)

  14. Oh I love your little colorful garden. Looking out at that would bring a smile to my face everyday, except of course when I spot something dining on the beautiful flowers! Talked to my daughter Heidi today....last year she had a zillion tomatoes...this year only about 5. Last year they had a zillion chipmunks....this year a zillion rabbits...or maybe more! Sorry about the squirrels knocking off your lights too. Stinkers!

  15. That's a nice spot of colour; too bad about the squirrels. I really do not like them. I have some kind of nut trees growing all over the flowerbeds thanks to those darn squirrels and their habit of burying nuts in any soft dirt.

  16. I wonder if all the construction chased them over to your nice, quiet haven this summer. Oh, well, your close-up photo makes your garden look lovely, anyhow.
