Peanut Butter Feeder

A few years ago, Far Guy drilled a hole in the top of a peanut butter lid and strung a wire through, knotted on the inside.  We saved that lid and use it every winter.

The Chickadees love Peanut Butter.

As you can see, Far Guy cut windows high into the jar and let the bottom flop down...that made a support for the stick he stuck through for the little birds to rest their weary feet.

Simple things make great bird feeders.

Clever idea and a wonderful way for the birds to get some long lasting protein.

Great idea, as long as you can keep the squirrels away.

Great idea. Yes, chickadees really like peanut butter. I drilled 1 in holes in a log and put peanut butter in the holes.

Nice way to reuse something plastic.

Great idea! And a relatively inexpensive way to feed the birds.

This is a great idea. I put out my finch feeder yesterday but nothing seems to be happening. Maybe the house finches will eat.

That's a neat idea! Hopefully you are using peanut butter that is made from only peanuts.

A great and simple idea for our little birds. Our move went well and I am slowly catching up with blog friends.
