How does it happen so fast? Our baby is thirteen, the youngest of the grands “the baby” is turning thirteen today. ALL of our grands are now teenagers.
Will he ever know how hard his Mother labored with him on that Labor Day in 2001? (With no relief…a totally natural birth…and he was no tiny baby either.) It was so special to me to be there for his birth! That first breath and the first cry… just the thought makes this Grandma well up with tears.
He was so handsome! And he just got cuter through the years.
He grew and he grew…
Perhaps the amount of time spent in the water helped him grow.
Andy and Adam last winter
His voice has changed…gone is the little boy voice and I am becoming accustomed to the young mans voice.
Some days I would like to have that snuggly baby back…but I do like the hugs I get for making popcorn.
Happy Thirteenth Birthday Adam!
Happy “Birth” day to his Mom too…Jen you did good!
He is handsome !....do they still use that word? Your story reminds me of a greeting card I once received from my youngest daughter on "her birthday". The card read, "Happy Birthing Day Mom!"

ReplyDeleteThis handsome young man is not going to have any trouble picking up chicks (writing on this tee shirt). The problem will be fending them off I think! He is going to be a chick magnet!
