Far Guy and Baxter

Saturday I took Baxter's one year old photo.

He is very focused on his people, although sometimes he is happy to see me.   He is pretty much a two person dog.  He can take or leave the rest of us.  He does listen to me...which is a good thing.  He is a center console hog when he is in my vehicle...and then he leans into my shoulder....mostly he is a good co-pilot.  He visits us often...one thing that calms him down is scratching his back..it relaxes him.  He heels off lead for my brother...which is a good thing.

Far Guy is feeling much better. He says it is wonderful to breathe again after feeling like he couldn't breathe for three months....he says it felt like he was dying.  He is working on getting back in shape again...walking and using his weights.  He is back to cooking again and can do all the dishes without sitting down to rest.  Yesterday he even worked on his new/old car.   We hope he continues to improve and get to the point where he was before May 10 2021and the valves.  Many people can breathe much easier with the valves... BUT they are not for everyone.   It was worth a try.

My left thumb is slightly improved....it doesn't have a constant ache.

We have a busy week coming up; a couple of appointments, bookclub and one last day of a garage sale at my parents.

Not being able to breath properly is a very stressful condition. I hope he continues to improve.

So glad to hear that Far Guy is improving since the valves were removed. It must have been a worry for both or you, and down right frightening for him.

That Baxter is a cutie!

What a wonderful picture of Baxter! He has certainly grown and is such a handsome young man. You are a talented photographer and that picture looks professional. I'm happy to hear he visits you often. I know you both enjoy that and I'm sure Baxter does as well.

What a blessing to hear that Far Guy continues to improve without the valves. Goodness knows, he deserves a break. You two have a wonderful week and tell Baxter I send Happy Birthday love!

I am SO HAPPY to hear about Far Guy feeling so much better! That is just wonderful!!! Baxter is a cutie for sure. Some days I am so tempted to get another dog but in my situation it would be selfish and there's no vet here anymore so I'd have to drive over an hour to get to one.
I know this has been rough on you both so I hope now you can relax and enjoy life a little bit more now. Maybe you can spend next Winter in Hawaii!

Baxter is so sedate looking there.
I am super glad Farguy doesn't feel like he is dying anymore. That is scary to hear, glad he told you, glad they could just take them our and him be okay.
I wonder can they scrub them off and give 'em to the next guy? ;) Just teasing.

Oh Connie, that is such an answer to prayer. I have been praying that something could be done to help Far Guy feel better and now he does! God is GOOD!
Baxter is such a beautiful dog. Thank you for your advice for me on finding a dog. I've been looking so many places and I find myself disappointed in the fact that so many people take advantage of others heartache over losing a beloved pet with scams. I'm going to keep looking and hope I can find one somewhere.
I have been reading your blog posts daily but Blogger won't let me comment on my phone and I didn't have my laptop with me.
Blessings and hugs,
Betsy
