A day full of odds and ends, some cleaning, some dusting, some laundry and then time for a few episodes of Virgin River and some crochet time. I even put my feet up for a bit.
Far Guy and I made supper together; Impossible Italian Sausage Pie and tomatoes.
After supper I picked and watered tomatoes and watered flowers. I made a tomato delivery to my other baby brother.
There are twenty squares in this project, I have 12 done, they will all get borders...and it will be winter before I am done with this project! Each patchwork square has a different design. Mosaic crochet is interesting I am so glad I took the time to learn it. It looks difficult but it isn't.
Impossible Italian Sausage Pie
9x9 baking dish
Brown one pound of Italian Sausage (we like mild)
Blend together 2 eggs and a cup of milk, add 1/2 cup of Bisquick pour mixture over sausage
Top with cheese ...we like Cojack
Bake at 375 for about 45 minutes give or take
It freezes well. You can add onions etc...but we don't.
Far Side
Okay, now I can really try that because it is super simple and easy...AND one dish!
ReplyDeleteGreat recipe!
Love the crocheted squares and the sausage pie sounds real yummy.
ReplyDeleteThat mosaic crochet does look difficult, but I'm glad to learn it isn't. You are so talented!
ReplyDeleteI'm saving the recipe. Thanks! Karen
ReplyDeleteYum - fresh tomatoes. Wish you could deliver some my way. LOL I did bring home a few from a friend's garden on Monday. My mom used to make Impossible Cheeseburger Pie. And I made a Taco Pie over the weekend.
ReplyDeleteThe crochet work is lovely! And the sausage pie sounds very good too.
ReplyDeleteThank you. Clearing out the freezer for my beef (which might not come until October which could be a good thing). I have several packages of sausage which were hidden in the back. This is an easy peasy weeknight recipe I will try soon!
ReplyDeleteSo bright and pretty! Very interesting technique too. I shall give it a try one of these days.❤️
ReplyDeleteLove the idea of all those different patterns making up one blanket! :)
ReplyDeleteThe blocks look great and a good use of odds and ends.
ReplyDeleteThat blanket will be nice and warm!
ReplyDeleteYumm I always like getting your recipes. And I DO make them! Thank you so much
ReplyDeleteThanks for reminding me about the Bisquick Impossible pies! I used to make them and some how I had forgotten about them. Next grocery day (tomorrow) I'm buying Bisquick! We like the Taco Pie. I didn't know you could freeze them. I'll have to try that.
ReplyDeleteThat mosaic crochet looks difficult to me, but it sure is pretty. It is amazing to see all the different designs you can do with it. I hope your grocery and infusion day go well tomorrow!
Many of us have days full of odds & ends
ReplyDeleteI'm a big fan of the Impossible pies both savoury and sweet. I make my own Bisquick and keep a container of it in the fridge for quick meals.
ReplyDeleteInteresting crocheted project. One that takes a long time is a good thing for you.
ReplyDeleteA day of odds and ends sounds like "puttering", That's what I am...a putterer.
ReplyDeleteYour recipe sounds great! Maybe I'll try it! Sounds like your tomato crop is doing well! I love the look of your crocheting project. You are so good at learning new things! What a talented lady you are. Today we traveled for an hour one way to get my wrist x-rayed and to see the surgeon who did my surgery....he was very pleased! So I don't have to go back there again....hooray! On our way home we stopped at a Friendship House for lunch and ran into a huge deluge of rain...part of a tornado watch system passing through. Luckily we only got rain!
ReplyDeleteYour crochet work is so beautiful! I want to try your recipe, with onions and mushrooms. Sounds yummy!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the recipe! It sounds great! I love your crochet and I think I need to learn mosaic. The ones I saw I didn't care for but I love yours....maybe it's your color sense. Your blocks are lovely.
