Sand

I recall when we lived in Florida sand was a problem...you always seemed to carry half the beach home with you.

Our Granddaughter Maddie and her husband went to Idaho to the sand dunes for a week.

Hey Mikey ( 4 ys and 2 months old) and Cee Cee ( 17 months old)

Can you imagine...they had a great time...this is an annual trip for them.

Fun to see them vacation as a family! From what I saw they did dunes, more dunes, a water park and hiked to water falls.

Photos shamelessly stolen from Maddie's Facebook page.

an awesome family picture. Bet they had a wonderful time on that trip. We used to do an annual summer trip to the Black Hills with our kids. And then went back a couple of times in the winter to ski. Good family memories!

I grew up next to a few Minnesota sand dunes and we loved to play in them. Yes, sand gets everywhere on your body! Great pics of a wonderful vacation. :)

Oh, it's good to see Maddie and her beautiful family.
Here near the sound and the sea we know all about sand.

Perfect Summer Day and two adorable little people! MY girls have taught me that rubbing their legs and feet (and basically everywhere) with baby powder makes the sand fall off. I wish I knew that when I was trucking our five to the beach.

Florida reminds me of Hawaii with all that sand. Glad they all had a good trip!

I like using a rental car for a week on the beach to accumulate the sand. I always felt sorry for whomever did the sweeping when we returned it.

Those great grands are growing up quickly. I remember the sand coming in all summer from the beach at Lake Pokegama A faucet outside helped to rinse the feet before they came into the cabin.
