We went by Zinnia Corner this week. It isn’t exactly a corner of blooms anymore but more of a border along the highway.
Years ago I stopped and talked to the farmer who lives just north of the Zinnia planting. It was a pleasure to met him, when he was school age and rode the bus he passed a place that had huge plantings of Zinnias and he was inspired. He told himself someday if he could afford it…he would plant Zinnias.
A childhood dream come true.
I wonder if someone on a School Bus might be inspired likewise on Tuesday morning when school begins here in Minnesota?
This planting is North and West of Glyndon Minnesota.

What a delight.
How wonderful! I hope some little person is inspired and catches the bug next week!
I am glad he was inspired. That is so pretty. It would be nice if more kids today would get such an inspiration. Have a lovely weekend.
How nice to do that and inspire others! I heard that butterflies really like them too. Mine are fading but that was because of the heat and mildew. It's cooler now so maybe they will make a comeback? Happy Labor Day weekend....lots of labor going on around here with the cooler temps!
What a nice story. I shared this one with friends.
What a pretty dream and I guess they really do come true. Pretty. Hug B
I'm just thinking about how many people that guy touches with his gesture of planting zinnias. How could one not be enthused and smiling after driving past that. It's wonderful!
Beautiful - I'm sure everyone who passes the flowers unconsciously smiles when they see them.
Wonderful! It would make me smile every time I passed it.
That is so cool! Maybe it will inspire another child on the bus--yes! :)
Hard to believe the kids are going back to school already...but I am more than ready for fall this year. :)
That is so pretty! I love Zinnias! and to think, I don't have any luck planting one small pack. I laughed reading your last post about getting the ID and the stool sample. Poppy was answering a bunch of questions on the phone a while back, checking on a medical claim, and asked them if they needed his shoe size too.
I am so impressed! I hope other people stop and thank him!

Now that's what I would call a field of zinnias. They are very colorful and long lasting.
When we would drive from Kansas to Colorado there was a huge field of zinnias. They were beautiful. I always wanting to pick a bouquet to take to the cabin with us!
Those are beautiful! I love zinnias. Y'all are lucky to start school after Labor Day. Our kiddos have been back for three weeks already.
Happy September to you. I love Zinnias and raided my granddaughter's garden this week for some-of course, I've been watering so I knew they wouldn't mind. They are such beautiful flowers.
Have a great Labor Day Weekend.

Every year I say I'm going to plant more zinnias next year...and I do...and I say I'm going to plant more the next year... Rapidly becoming my most favorite flower. I would LOVE to see this IRL.
What a lovely childhood dream for a young boy. I bet it's wonderful ip close! And we are the better for it coming true because of the photos and story you shared. Thank you.
Beautiful! And what a good story.
Oh, I love it! I remember riding the school bus and watching out the window at all the plants that went by. I would have loved Zinnia corner.
That is so cool! I bet it is beautiful when it is new full bloom!
What a gorgeous field of Zinnias and a cute story too.
That is so gorgeous!!
I had wondered about this field of flowers. I of course am envious of such a flower bed. My one flower only zinnia bed seems pretty small but it still is great to have.
How totally cool and I hope he realizes the joy that brings to those that drive by!
Absolutely LOVE this! What a wonderful thing for him to do.
