Flowers and Cards

Ha!  It was cooler yesterday.  Only 90 F or 32 C

My flower garden is showing some color. It is one week post transplant.  With the warm weather they should have made great roots.

We got some wonderful cards in the mail.

Thank you friends for thinking of us!

Far Guy is still just a bit better.  No huge improvements.  He fussed with his new/old car a bit and did some woodcarving.  We heard that the Woodcarvers group will start meeting again soon.  We will join them when Far Guy is feeling better.

Glad your flowers are doing well, and that Far Guy is continuing to improve. Nice you got lots of lovely cards in the mail.

With a little something to look forward to, that should be a big help. Love the cards and the flower garden.
I planted verbena this year and I guess I did a good pick. The butterflies and hummingbirds adore the flowers!
Have a good day. Hope you get some rain!

Good news that Far Guy seems to feel a tad bit better each day. Love the flower garden. Still very warm here.

The heat/wind and overall dryness is really hard on all my plants. The annuals are struggling and growing slowly. Your bed and plants look good! Shade helps. Fingers & toes crossed that Far Guy keeps improving, so you guys can have fun with your woodcarving group!!

When I was young and single, I used to do some carving. It was something I could do inside my apartment which I lived in at the time. I found it relaxing.

Prays that Far Guy continues to improve and can meet with the wood carvers.

I can only imagine how good it would feel to be able to get together with your woodcarvers group in person. Our quilt guild has met in person 3 months in a row now. Not all of our members have come back, but it sure has been wonderful to see some of those ladies again.

Your flowers are looking nice and healthy, and how nice to get all those cards. I'm glad Far Guy is doing a little bit better, but hope there is much more improvement soon!

My potted plants are struggling in this heat. I moved them over to Mom's last night so she will water them while I'm gone. (If she remembers!)
I'm glad that Far Guy continues to improve, even if it's in small increments.
Blessings,
Betsy

Weather a little cooler, FarGuy a little better, friends a little sweeter. ;)

I hope and pray Far Guy continues to improve. Having a sick man is awful, being a sick man is terrible. Prayers and love for the both of you.

The flower bed is looking lovely. If our weather reaches you, we're expecting rain every day this week. It started sunny and warm this morning, but has clouded over but still warm - rain should start later this afternoon.

I certainly hope Far Guy continues to improve. Tinkering with the old/new car and feeling up to woodcarving sounds hopeful.

The cards are so great. We all care for Far Guys positive progress. I am giving my zinnia seed four more days. If they don't sprout I am headed to a plant nursery and buying them. Your flower pot looks so good. The heat means I am watering every other day.

We take our small pleasures and our small improvements one day at a time. :-)

Your little flowerbed is looking good. No doubt you're having to water it often if your temps are around 90.

Glad to hear Far Guy is doing better, even if only a bit.

One thing you can say about that heat wave: it will perk the tomatoes up and get them growing faster!
