Only 92 yesterday. The AC is working just fine thank goodness!
This pretty White Admiral Butterfly was soaking up some water on the patio. We had sheet lightning and rain early Tuesday morning. We got 4/10 of an inch of rain in one rain gauge and 3/4 inch in another. Let me tell you any rain is better than no rain.
Our bank upgraded its digital banking platform so I spent some time figuring that out. I just followed the directions...and it seems to work.
Far Guy woodcarved in the afternoon while I watched Heartland and worked on a crochet project. My baby brother, his bride, Baxter and Annie visited in the late afternoon. Good for us to see different faces and the dogs!
Supper was Pulled Pork Quesadillas and fresh fruit.
After supper my other baby brother and she who sees robins first stopped by to visit. They are still recouping after the wedding.
We have been playing one game of Splendor in the evenings...I am losing...Far Guy 3 me 1.
Far Side
We had thunder but no rain yesterday. That is such a pretty butterfly; don't think I have ever seen one around here. Glad you had some visitors.
ReplyDeleteThe normal ebb & flow of everyday life, when all is well. It's good to hear, Connie. I'm going to have to look up that game "Spendor"... and your butterfly is absolutely beautiful! ~Andrea xoxoxo
ReplyDeleteIt has been a month and I am still figuring out our bank's digital upgrade. I finally started a list of questions to ask the next time I go in person. There are probably simple answers, at least I hope so.
ReplyDeleteWe've not had a thunderstorm but did get a bit of rain overnight - less than a 1/4 inch but enough to wet things down and settle the dust. Here's hoping we both see more rain in the near future.
ReplyDeleteThat butterfly is gorgeous...not sure I've ever seen one before. How are you liking Heartland? Glad you got some rain. It has been creeping up into the 80's now but gray, cloudy, rainy and it seems like we have totally switched weather with each other.
ReplyDeleteYes I am enjoying Heartland
DeleteI'm in the UP. Very hot and humid at St. Ignas too Went up to Whitefish Point, was 85 on the drive up. Was 58 with thunder and rain when I got there.
ReplyDeleteNot sure how much rain we got but the thunder was cracking loud and shook the building at times. Annie always hides behind the toilet.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful butterfly. Haven't seen one of those.
Glad you AC is working well. :)
Very pretty White Admiral! First time I ever saw one was in the UP of Michigan. Go west of the Mississippi and the Butterflies change dramatically from the "Yellows, whites and Monarchs," of the Midwest. then gain, Cheryl and I spent our early years chasing and ID-ing all things butterfly I actually would not mind a little rain here in Iowa. At least a break from the heat.
ReplyDeleteGlad you are finding things to occupy your time.Hotter there than Arkansas.
ReplyDeleteThat White Admiral Butterfly is beautiful! We are just now getting into the 90's around here and the almost daily rain has stopped. It's amazing how quickly the ground looks parched despite all the rain we've had recently. Is Splendor a card game or board game? It sounds interesting.
ReplyDeleteA card and chip strategy game:)
DeletePretty butterfly! We got some rain (one hard, short downpour), but it didn't cool things off as they said it would. It's still steamy out there!
ReplyDeleteCompany is a luxury. The heat just continues. Our grass is dormant already. We only have all white butterflies.
ReplyDeleteI told ya I'd send some rain.
ReplyDeleteButterflies are so pretty
ReplyDeleteThat's such a pretty butterfly. I only see Cabbage whites around here.
ReplyDeleteWell, I'm glad your bank update went smoothly this time. I seem to remember you had another update years ago that wasn't quite so tolerable.
ReplyDeleteI do love digital banking. Most of yesterday was spent in dealing with dirt, dust, flooring removal and replacement. All for the better!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful butterfly!
I don’t think I’ve seen a White Admiral before. Lots of Red, but not White. Pretty.
ReplyDeleteTime to catch up! I did see one of these butterflies the other day! We still have no rain, but I have watched cells go around us at night. My grass is brown in so many areas.
ReplyDeleteI've had to water my flowers or lose them. Perhaps it was a good idea for me not to plant a large veggie garden this year.
