A new spring was ordered...just incase. Far Guy put everything back together minus the spring to see what would happen with the new /old car. It started and ran just fine. Maybe he really doesn't need that spring that was lost.
Far Guy wanted to take it for a ride so he called my baby brother and his bride to come along.
Baxter thought it was a cool ride.
Plenty of room for him in the back seat on the seat or on the floor. He was a good boy.
Far Side
Good news that the car runs without the spring. Baxter looks like he had a great time.
ReplyDeleteThat is a really cool car. I showed the photo to my husband and he knew exactly the make, year, and model. Guys and their cars.
ReplyDeleteBaxter looks happy to go along.
Far Guy's car looks really nice. Baxter looks like he enjoyed the ride.
ReplyDeleteTom would have loved to see the photos of Far Guy's car.
ReplyDeleteReminds me of a time as a kid I took my kid's one speed bicycle apart (the kind where you push backward on the pedals to brake) and put it back together with a few parts extra. It appeared to work fine for awhile until I pushed back on the pedals to brake and found out I had no brakes!
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear the new/old car is getting out for a spin! :-)
ReplyDeleteDogs are SO much fun! Rides in Classic cars are right up there with Dogs!
ReplyDeleteFar Guy must love dogs. Car people I know are all about "look don't touch". I am of the belief things are meant to be enjoyed, with care.
ReplyDeleteNice ride — pun intended!
ReplyDeleteWhen I see a back seat like that, I think about how many car seats could fit across it. #GrammaOfMany #DontMakeCarsLikeTheyUsedTo
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you all got to go out for a ride, even Baxter. He looks like he's smiling at everyone.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Betsy
I have a fe things missing on my lawn mower but it still works.
ReplyDeleteGoing for a ride - one of my dad's favorite things. That sure brought back memories of Sunday afternoon rides in the car. Obviously Baxter was enjoying the ride. We had dogs over the years that got so excited when they heard the word RIDE.
ReplyDeleteI bet it's always fun to take the new old car out for a drive, and of course Baxter enjoyed it too!
ReplyDeleteNice! I'm glad to hear the car runs without the wee spring.
ReplyDeleteGotta love those big old cars! I have owned a few in my day. Baxter does look happy!
ReplyDeleteBoy, that new-old car sure is a beauty, Connie!! The roominess of them just can't be beat. Baxter looks like he had a wonderful time. ~Andrea xoxoxo
ReplyDeleteGlad it worked and hope it keeps working. :)
ReplyDeleteBaxter looks quite content.
I can't wait to see the Old Cars driving around as we near the 4th. So cool stepping back in time.
ReplyDeleteHow fun to go out for a ride in his wonderful new/old car. Baxter has a face that will steal your heart!
ReplyDeleteRiding alone humming a song.
ReplyDelete"Take me for a ride in your car, car
ReplyDeleteTake me for a ride in your car, car.
Take me for a ride, take me for a ride.
Take me for a ride in your car, car.
Yes, I'm singing it. My version is Peter, Paul, and Mary, The Car Song.
Baxter looks like a good dog to hug and pet. I am glad that everything worked without the spring.
ReplyDeleteI really like the look of old cars
ReplyDeleteBaxter is right, lucky dog!
