Here it is the same as when I brought it home. I decided it was too boring
So I got out a ruler and a pencil and went crazy.
I went a little crazy with color too.
I like it. Far Guy hung it up on my garage.
Another someday project completed!
Far Side
I love where Far Guy hung it. Perfect spot and so colorful. You did a good job with the "redesign".
ReplyDeleteIs it painted? I never heard of wood quilt squares before. I like it!
ReplyDeleteVery nice! I think I would like to make one.💖
ReplyDeleteI like the way you changed it. Vibrant now.
ReplyDeleteI like the colorful version! Grandma used to make crazy quilts. She just took all sorts of sizes and shapes and colors of materials and fit it together. Love it!
ReplyDeleteI like it!
ReplyDeleteHave a blessed day!
It's wonderful!!! The color really makes it pop! We have a few "Quilt Trails" here in Ohio. A county group will line up barns willing to display, a group will create and you can follow a driving tour. I was so taken by the projects that I started one of my own. I was in charge of the Junior Fair Home Arts Building at the fairgrounds so I started with four 4x4 foot sheets of plywood and my 4-H club painted the first 4 simple quilt blocks to decorate the tops of the side walls inside the barn. The next year we added two more, one a "signature" block with names of past superintendents who left us too soon. I think we had 12 when I left my post and the club did at least two more after I left. No fair this year - that darn Rona. We did decide to do all our blocks in white, 4-H green and FFA blue - for cost, simplicity in painting and as to not overwhelm and outshadow the 4-H projects.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous!! The added color was exactly what it needed. That's why it's been in a closet - just waiting for the finishing touches.
ReplyDeleteYour garage quilt is very nice & colorful. We had that very same "some day" project making a barn quilt. We had the pattern & piece of metal but that is as far as we got.
ReplyDeleteThat is amazing!! I Like it!!!!
ReplyDeleteI love it! That is on my "to do" list sometime :)
ReplyDeleteI LOVE it! It turned out just perfect!
ReplyDeleteI love it!!! A few years ago someone put wooden quilt squares all over our little beach town and they are just so pretty. Yours looks amazing on your garage. Araignee
ReplyDeletestunning!!! I love it
ReplyDeletePerfect!
ReplyDeleteI ❤️ it! Nice job.
ReplyDeleteOh, it's wonderful!
ReplyDeleteI adore that... and the colors are perfect!!! If there's any blessings to this COVID thing at all, I believe it's that = finishing various projects & things that would have otherwise remained "in the closet". Love, Andrea xoxo
ReplyDeleteLove it!
ReplyDeleteIt is just perfect now. And put in just the right place, too! :-)
ReplyDeleteSo happy and colorful, I love it. Great job!
ReplyDeleteI love all the color you added!! Perfect! :)
ReplyDeleteI like it much better with the color!
ReplyDeleteI love the changes you made to finish it and then found a perfect place to hang it.
ReplyDeleteHow beautiful! You did a great job both before and after. It is perfect hung on your garage. I have always loved all the barn quilts you see around the country. Now you have your own!
ReplyDeleteFantastic! Much better...and I'm not even a "colorful" person :-D.
ReplyDeleteYou needed to wait until an image popped into your head
ReplyDeleteWow! That looks wonderful. I love how you decided to finish it. Sometimes ideas just need to percolate.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Betsy
That looks so nice! Kind of like those big quilt squares you see on the red barns now and then.
ReplyDeleteYou were right...it was boring but not anymore! It is stunning on your garage like those barn quilts. I hope you sealed it with something to protect it from the elements. Very cool!!!
ReplyDeleteSeeing such vibrant colours hanging on the garage would make me smile every time I saw them :)
ReplyDeleteOh, that's amazing! The colors are fantastic. Well done!
ReplyDeleteOh, I LOVE it!
ReplyDeleteI love this! Great colors and so cheerful.
