Signs of the times

Over the weekend I supported three small businesses.  I ordered yarn from Nevada, goat milk soap from Minnesota and a new my little carry and go pillow also from Minnesota.

Boxes sit outside in quarantine... all are opened outside.

This was coffee, unscented lotion and toothpaste.

My sister reported that she wiped down all her groceries in her cart before putting them in her car and she left all grocery bags in the garbage there...she said she got a few weird looks.

The other side of the marquee at the movie theater in town.

We sat outside yesterday, Far Guy woodcarved...he has music out there and one crazy bird singing along!   I walked around in the yard, got a bit wet...but walking round and round is possible....another quiet safe day at home.

Watching the Netflix series Virgin River...very entertaining...but  predictable.  I give it an 8 out of 10 stars so far.

Stay home and stay safe!

Pretty soon it's going to seem normal to do things this way. Nice that you're supporting local businesses where you can, especially right now.

Glad you and Far Guy are doing fine. Nothing new to report from here. Looking forward to the day we can all get back to normal living.

I had to deal with 7 Chewy boxes over the weekend. The Mister and I form a tag team. I suit up with my soap gear and he handles the clean products. I open, wipe and then spray everything with 91% alcohol and he transfers the clean products onto the clean table I have set up in the dining room where I still keep the items isolated for another 72 hours. Crazy.

Glad to see how thorough you are in making sure that deadly virus stays away from you. I think we didn't do such a good job, as I think we both have it, but hopefully mild cases.

My biggest concern is what happens when the post office can't deliver anymore? I'm sure hoping it doesn't come to that.
Good job in taking care of things! Keep that virus away!

We didn't stay home yesterday. We visited our grandchildren - but we did practice good social distancing. We dropped off birthday, Easter, and anniversary gifts. Guess we'll have to give them all extra hugs when this is over.

Virgin River was fun to watch. I wonder if there will be another season. I think it may be warm enough today to sit in the sunshine.

I don't remember if we finished Virgin River. We start some of them and just stop. That was a good one. I need to get my act together and order a birthday present for my wife.

Our lives are the same, my friend.... right down to the quarantining packages. I like your friend's idea of wiping down items and leaving bags in the cart. Great idea! I would not have thought her odd in the least. "Smart" is the word that would have come to my mind. Love, Andrea xoxo

I'd rather err on the side of being over cautious when it comes to safety from the virus.

Cute rhyme on the marquee.

We were told yesterday to not open mail for three days after receiving it. I'm getting really tired of this but will persevere.
Blessings,
Betsy

Our sunroom looks like your doorstep. We have a pile of plastic bags from a grocery order marinating for 36 hours, a box with tea from Amazon (now how many hours/days for cardboard???), our two pairs of gloves which are ready for reuse by tomorrow! On the clothes line outdoors in the sun my mask is disinfecting. Crazy, isn’t it?

It sounds like we are all wisely doing the same thing with our boxes. We have a box from Chewy resting in our basement. The cats hate that we no longer let them play with the boxes things arrive in. Take care.

Being able to sit or even walk around outside breaks the tedium of the days. Good to hear you're both keeping well.

Today was our first warm sunny day in a long time. Hubby raked the backyard an I opened house windows and cleaned the back porch. Tomorrow I will start planting our vegetable seeds and put them in the greenhouse. I feel like spring has finally arrived.

Love the current saying on the theatre marquee. Somebody puts up some great sayings there. Did you say you can call in your grocery order to Walmart and they will bring it out to your car? They won't do that here and now they're limiting how many people can go into the store at a time to shop. We found a different store to order from, that delivers to our house. Stay well you two!

No our local grocery store has online delivery and curb side pick up. Walmart purchases are shipped.

I don't quarantine my mail, but I do wipe it down, sometimes. But you really have to be extra careful. And speaking of mail, I got a most delightful little card in my mail box today, from you! Thank you so much. It was a bright spot in my day.

It's so helpful and important right now to remember to support small businesses, especially local ones, if possible. They are the ones hardest hit right now.
