Brazen little buggar anyways….it then began to eat the frozen soggy Impatiens.
They must have been tasty…but then I scared the poor starving creature.
What?
It sauntered off down out driveway snacking on leaves and branches as he/she went along.
If I were a deer hunter I could hunt from my kitchen.

We've never had deer that I know of so close in our yard, but I do see tracks on the driveway and see them in the woods on the other side of the pasture.
The mules don't like intruders in their pastures. So my gardens and flowers are well protected as I have them next to the mule pasture.
Mushy, frozen impatiens don't sound very tasty. I love the nonchalant saunter down the drive, tasting as he went . How fun to see him up so close.

Aw. I saw a skunk last night, digging for grubs!!!
Don't you find it peaceful to watch the wildlife in your yard? I know I do. My husband moved our bird feeders further away from the family room windows. And I miss that close view as they tried to eat from them every day.

I see many deer in my yard and I'm in an urban area.
Deer are very cute in someone else's yard. We planted things that deer aren't supposed to like. And usually they don't bother. But every now and then an entire herd meanders by and each deer takes one bite and spits it out. But that does nothing to deter the ones that follow. Enough of them can strip a branch they do not like. No, you would not hunt the deer from your kitchen. You would be more of a sportsman than that. You just wouldn't shoot Bambi.

You sure could hunt from your kitchen window. That deer looks fat. Poppy is deer hunting now. I keep hoping I won't hear a shot anywhere. Of course, he sits in a tree waiting for that trophy buck to wander up, which means he never shoots anything. He won't kill a doe.
That deer looks like it's smiling at you...great photo! We should form a group called the Housewife Hunters....we see more deer than when they hide and wait for hours! LOL!
When Nitty was about 4-6 months old, a Mother deer wandered into our yard and she had 2 little ones....Nitty got so excited as she thought the babies were other dogs to play with so she chased them and that baby screamed for it's mother.....it was so funny because Nitty just wanted to play. It sounded like a mule braying. That poor baby was so scared.
My son and his friends were up to Pokegama to fish a while ago. Most people are gone form our old fishing resort place. He had shots of the deer in a herd headed down to the beach to drink. They are never seen when the people all stay there. There is a pair of bald eagles that now live in the big old tree that sit on our old property. I suppose they are over populating.
I like to have the deer around, but haven't seen a fox except the ones looking for pheasants along the roadside. You have a very nice kitchen.
