It finally cleared off and the sun came out.
The snow hung around. Why not? It was like an ice box out there 14 F in the morning on Friday. That would be –10C eh! In January we would say that is a warm day…in October not so much.
Far Guy had a meeting so I worked on clearing off a number of projects off my desk.
I made my own paper…water colored …scribbled on the sheet on the right and the one on the left is the result to which I added some metallic watercolors. When is enough really enough?
That is the die on the left that I used with the watercolor paper.
I made a few cards for my Mom…she sends out lots of cards. It is my Mom’s birthday today she is 89. We went out for a birthday dinner last evening…with my brothers and my sister in laws.
I like your card. I have never seen or used a die like the one you pictured. 14 degrees sounds awful. We are complaining because 30s are predicted for the next few nights here.
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday to your mom! It's in the mid-forties this morning and feels cold to me. But your temperature? Yikes! :-)
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday to your mom! I hope she has a wonderful day. Your cards are very pretty, I am sure she will appreciate your thoughtfulness. Our weather is turning cold too, but luckily not as cold as yours! Stay warm!
ReplyDeleteGive your Mom my wishes for a wonderful day. I love the cards you created. It's been cold here, too. Tonight's predicted low is 11°F I'm not ready for this yet!
ReplyDeleteHow creative!!!!
ReplyDeleteWinter is on its way...
WOW! I really like your paper!
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday to your mom!
ReplyDeleteThat is so clever to make up your own pretty paper in fall colors before you die cut it. Really pretty! :)
Stay warm.
With temps like that, maybe your snow will stick around!
ReplyDeleteI really like the effect you got from your colored papers. Those are beautiful cards.
Happy Birthday to you mom as well as your dad!
Minus 10 C is cold. Happy birthday to your Mom.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birhday to your Mom! I know she loves the cards you make for her. I really enjoy seeing the step by step process you use in making the cards. Stay warm!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to your Mom! I lveo your paper and how it turned out with the die....very cool! It looks like fun too!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to your Mom!
ReplyDeleteSure is cold out your way!
Happy Birthday to your mom.
ReplyDeleteYou have a wonderful gift for "crafts", which I admire very much. My mom had what I think of as a "card ministry." She frequently sent encouraging cards to people. Good thinking to make some for her.
ReplyDeleteOh dear. This is the first time I have had time to look at your blog for quite a while -- obviously -- I just now noticed now that Chance has died. I am so sorry for your loss. They are such faithful companions and it hurts like the dickens when they pass on out of our lives.
ReplyDeleteThank you Leilani They are faithful, we are still sad.
DeleteWhat pretty paper. Fun to visit and see your creativity. Best wishes to your mom.
ReplyDeleteThe leaves turned out so pretty with the watercolor paper. Fun idea and I bet your mom loved them. Happy birthday to your mom today!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful cards! And Happy Birthday to your mom!
ReplyDeleteVery attractive card-making.
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday to your Mom!
ReplyDeleteGlad you were able to get some of your projects done.
Stay warm!
