Chance: I Killed My Duck

My name is Chance and I killed my duck.  I ripped out is innards and sent them flying..innards were everywhere.  Far Guy said “Stop already, take it to Far Side and she will fix it for you.”

Chance bringing me the duck

Okie dokie..here it is..

Sad day when your duck has a hole in it

My duck had a hole in it and his squeaker fell out. Luckily Far Side can wield a simple needle and thread.Chances duck all fixed

She would never have made a good surgeon..but she stuffed that squeaker back in and sewed it all up.  It only has one little wing. I think someone may have eaten the other wing accidently.   It is almost good as new..and may last a couple more days minutes.  My duck  used to live on top of the fridge and then someone who is tall forgot to put it back up one day last summer..so it has been in my toy bucket..it is one of my favorite toys.

Yes, my name is Chance and I love my duck to pieces:)

  4. I'll never understand why you doggies find some toy that you love beyond all others. Your ducky does look like he might croak soon. Well chewed and loved, though! :-)

  7. How funny! I have to admit I've never mended any of Duke's toys, even though he has, on occasion, unstuffed and desqueakered them.

  8. Tucker here.... I think you are a lucky duck to have someone take care of your animals and try to keep them intact. Those humans just don't understand our interest in dissecting our fluffy friends! Some day I'll have my mom put up a picture of Phineas, the former frog!

  12. Ohhhhh poor duckie.

Little did he know when he wandered away from his mummie duck that he would become best friends with Chance the cow dog.

I'm sure he's feeling better now since his operation!

  13. Oh Chance, you old duck killer. Good thing Doc Far Side was able to stitch him back together and bring him back to life.

  14. When our old guy was a younger pup, we tried giving him a stuffed animals. He'd have them ripped to pieces in minutes.

So, we quit giving them to him - and that was fortunate because when the kids came along, he wanted their stuffed animals too, but quickly figured out that was not allowed!!!

  15. Did she wear gloves as she sewed? Because the dried spit on Emmy and Abby's toys grosses me out.

  16. It looks like a great duck too. I am glad that you can hang onto it for a little longer. Button goes through having his favorite to take to bed each night. Eventually he tears a hole in it and the stuffing comes out. He eats it and cause his dad to have to deal with the passing of the stuffing if you catch my drift. Dad is not a happy camper when it comes through the other end.

  18. Chance you are a lucky duck, I mean dog, to have someone love you enough to mend your toys. Just remember that some day, they won't be fixable, so be careful!
