My name is Chance and I killed my duck. I ripped out is innards and sent them flying..innards were everywhere. Far Guy said “Stop already, take it to Far Side and she will fix it for you.”
Okie dokie..here it is..
My duck had a hole in it and his squeaker fell out. Luckily Far Side can wield a simple needle and thread.
She would never have made a good surgeon..but she stuffed that squeaker back in and sewed it all up. It only has one little wing. I think someone may have eaten the other wing accidently. It is almost good as new..and may last a couple more
days minutes. My duck used to live on top of the fridge and then someone who is tall forgot to put it back up one day last summer..so it has been in my toy bucket..it is one of my favorite toys.
Yes, my name is Chance and I love my duck to pieces:)
LOL Oh this post is so cute ! I giggled the entire time ! Miggy is the same she has a few road kills of her own that I have had to fix ! Miggys favorites are her squeeky Teddy and a Hedge hog that grunts we call Hoghog ! Stitched them up a few times lol she has a toy bucket as well both for inside and outside toys! Wonderful photos and post ! Chance you are soo cute ! Have a wonderful day !
You sure loved that duck to pieces Chance!
Perhaps Santa Paws will bring you a new one in a few weeks - you know, that Christmas thing...
That duck looks pretty sad but glad far side was able to fix it up for you.
I'll never understand why you doggies find some toy that you love beyond all others. Your ducky does look like he might croak soon. Well chewed and loved, though! :-)
ROFLMAO@love my duck to pieces!! ;)
Chance, you have me laughing this a.m.!!!
How funny! I have to admit I've never mended any of Duke's toys, even though he has, on occasion, unstuffed and desqueakered them.
Tucker here.... I think you are a lucky duck to have someone take care of your animals and try to keep them intact. Those humans just don't understand our interest in dissecting our fluffy friends! Some day I'll have my mom put up a picture of Phineas, the former frog!
Toy repairs eh? I think I shall be sending some of mine cause no one will fix 'em here.
Notshy....the smelly pooch with the broken toys.
Pieces being the operative word ;)
Haha. He definitely looks excited for you to fix it so he can tear it apart again. ;-)
Ohhhhh poor duckie.
Little did he know when he wandered away from his mummie duck that he would become best friends with Chance the cow dog.
I'm sure he's feeling better now since his operation!
Oh Chance, you old duck killer. Good thing Doc Far Side was able to stitch him back together and bring him back to life.
When our old guy was a younger pup, we tried giving him a stuffed animals. He'd have them ripped to pieces in minutes.
So, we quit giving them to him - and that was fortunate because when the kids came along, he wanted their stuffed animals too, but quickly figured out that was not allowed!!!
Did she wear gloves as she sewed? Because the dried spit on Emmy and Abby's toys grosses me out.
It looks like a great duck too. I am glad that you can hang onto it for a little longer. Button goes through having his favorite to take to bed each night. Eventually he tears a hole in it and the stuffing comes out. He eats it and cause his dad to have to deal with the passing of the stuffing if you catch my drift. Dad is not a happy camper when it comes through the other end.
Smiling, smiling, smiling. Chance, you're lucky Far Side was willing to patch things up for you.
Chance you are a lucky duck, I mean dog, to have someone love you enough to mend your toys. Just remember that some day, they won't be fixable, so be careful!
Awwww Chance, you are one darling dog.
Jen @ Muddy Boot Dreams
LOL! And thank goodness for needle and thread.
Good thing you did not swallow that squeaker...
LOL At first I thought you caught a real duck! You've got a good mamma who's willing and able to sew up your toys! (By the way, I love your close-up, your eyes are so beautiful!)
OH! DO I EVER UNDERSTAND! I had a red coat once....
By the way... I love your Christmas header!
And your carving is now done!
