March 26 1961 my baby brother was seven years old, my other baby brother was five months old and I was 9 1/2.
It must have been close to Easter that year as my baby brother has a bunny amongst his seven candles.
Not sure who the hair dresser was most likely my Mom...those bangs of mine will take a long time to grow out..those curls were made with those spongy pink hair rollers.
Happy Birthday to my baby brother! Welcome to your 70's.

Happy Birthday to Baby Brother. Good memories in pictures.
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday to your baby brother! Hopefully he's not as bothered by turning 70 as I have been. LOL
ReplyDeleteGreat photo from 63 years ago.
ReplyDeleteYou mom had a built in babysitter with you being that much older than your baby baby brother. On that day back in 1961, I was still 18 months or so away from even being born!
ReplyDeleteI love your hair. My Momma triedto cut bangs for me. Either I wasn’t still or she had no hair cutting skill.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday! Precious Photo
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to baby brother! I had a very similar hairdo at that time, it must have been all the rage!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday! Love that picture. Your other baby brother wants some cake!
ReplyDeleteI had a haircut that was very similar. We slept on the pink rollers every Saturday night for church the next day.
Blessings,
Betsy
Happy Birthday to your baby brother. It appears the littlest one is putting his finger in the icing. 😀
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to your brother! What a cute picture of all of you. I've always had bangs until a few years ago when there was bangs and then a big hole on both sides of them caused by my receding hairline....bye bye bangs!
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday to your baby brother. It sort of looks like your other baby brother has his eye on the cake!
ReplyDeleteThat's a great photo!
ReplyDeleteI remember those pink spongy rollers. They were easier to sleep on that the wire mesh ones.
Happy Birthday to Baby Bro.
What a wonderful old photo
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday to baby brother. There were actually some years where my husband cut my hair to save money.
ReplyDeleteI remember having very short bangs that took forever to grow out and sleeping on those spongy pink rollers on Saturday nights so that I had curls for church on Sunday... as if God cared what my hair looked like!
ReplyDeleteI remember those rollers, too. You sure looked pretty and all dolled up, as they used to say. Happy birthday to your baby brother!
ReplyDeleteI remember those pink sponge rollers! They were better than the pin curls with bobby pins to sleep on. lol!
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday to your baby brother. :)
Happy Birthday to your baby brother! Glad he could join the decade of three score and ten! Someone said one time that you are not 70. You are seven perfect "tens". So there you go.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful photo... all the best belated birthday wishes for your brother...
ReplyDeleteand also all good wishes for you.
Viola
I can recall my grandmother walking around with those sponge rollers in her hair. And I recall playing with them.
ReplyDeleteHappy belated birthday to your brother.
In 1961 I was 5. Had similar hair style. I remember the pink squishy rollers, easier to sleep on than the spiky kind!
