Chilly

Yes it is chilly here.  We stayed inside all day yesterday.  I worked on the Grands photo albums and crocheted a bit...and had a nap.  I think the cold tires me out.

Purple Coneflowers a few summers ago.

Far Guy woodcarved...he has a flower project in progress.

THe big warm up is supposed to be today. Way up to 48! I haven't been outside in a couple of weeks. Well, once or twice to take Zoey out, but Dennis has done it most of the time. This Illness just doesn't want to lose it's grip on me yet.
I'm looking forward to seeing Far Guy's flower project. The carving he does is so beautiful and intricate.
Blessings and hugs,
Betsy

I loved my purple coneflowers. So did the Japanese beetles.
I think it is natural for us to feel tired with the cold. Look at what it does to animals. Plus even in homes with good heat, our bodies expend more energy staying warm so that tires us. That's my theory anyway. Just thankful we are retired and can rest when tired hits!

We are going into a warmup, the bad part about that is rain forecasted for Monday. Stay in, stay warm.

The coneflowers are so pretty - a nice memory and a reminder that summer will arrive again, someday.

I woke to another extreme cold warning again this morning, but it has been lifted now. Hopefully we'll see a warm-up as the day goes on.

Stay warm!

The sun is shining here today and the temps are rising! Yay! I stayed inside yesterday too - until supper time. Then I suggested we both needed to get out of the house, plus I am tired of eating bland and boring. We went to our favorite local restaurant and shared an entrée. It came with 2 sides - he had the soup and I had the salad. I even had a small glass of wine. It felt so good to finally get out with the bonus of tasting something yummy after days of bland food.

Pretty purple flowers for a frigid day. Love it!
We will begin to warm up today. It isn't noon yet and we have gone from 25 to 37. I think rain is on the way overnight. I'm loving the sunshine outside my window right now.

I haven't had good looking coneflowers for a couple of years. I guess the drought really stunned them. Your photo is inspiring.
