My baby brother and his wife invited us for a pontoon ride. Neighbors Jo and Steve came too. It was a warm afternoon...a really nice end of September day...high was 84 F or 29 C eh!
Not yet peak but it may rain the next few days and who knows what will be left after that.
A juvenile Loon that has not left yet.Baxter...getting his nose in the breeze to get all the lake news.
I had a very busy day. I did some house cleaning, laundry and some lawn mowing/ leaf mulching.
Far Guy did some woodcarving.

What a beautiful boat ride. WRn for late September.
ReplyDeleteGlad you had a chance to get out on the lake.
ReplyDeleteLove that picture of Baxter. :-)
ReplyDeleteLooks like a pretty day to be on the lake. I don’t have Fall yard work anymore, but I still feel the pull to prepare for Winter.
ReplyDeletePontoons are the best! :)
ReplyDeleteA pontoon ride on a lake - that is such a perfect way to spend a nice day. Fall colors are way too short-lived. Around here the wind typically brings the end quickly. Maybe that's why we love to see those colors so much - knowing they won't be here long.
ReplyDeleteWe live a mile from a big lake, but I have honestly never been on it in a boat of any kind.
How fun for all of you, including Baxter. We really miss our boat rides on Loon Lake. There's just something about being on the water.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Betsy
Oh what a beautiful ride! How wonderful, Connie!! I haven't been on a pontoon in years but I remember enjoying it very much. ~Andrea xoxoxo
ReplyDeleteA break! Breaks are wonderful!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely way to spend an afternoon!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a fun day on the lake with the trees just starting to show Fall colours.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely a great way to spend the afternoon on a beautiful autumn day!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful colors...we don't have much color here yet. You worked hard! You deserved a break!
ReplyDeleteSounds great
ReplyDeleteIt is so pretty looking across the lake at the colored trees. Baxter looks like he was having fun. Love all three pictures.
ReplyDeleteGlad you got out and Far Guy did also.
ReplyDeleteSpending a warm afternoon out on the water sounds heavenly :)
ReplyDeleteWhat does your pontoon boat look like? I don't think they are a thing here but maybe east of the mountains on more still lakes.
ReplyDeleteA platform on floats with great places to sit!
DeleteIf I lived in Minnesota, I would be out on the lake every day! ( wishful thinking... but I would definitely try!)
ReplyDeleteOH how fun to go for a pontoon boat ride on such a beautiful day and it's almost October!!! Glad you guys got to go. Baxter too!
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear you and your husband are getting out and enjoying some nice fall weather. Very different from the way things were last year.
ReplyDeleteI hope he is feeling better.
I am enjoying your fall colors, quite different from mine. Your temperatures are even warmer than ours and that’s a surprise.
ReplyDeleteA nice day to be out floating around on the lake. Baxter has to be so fascinated with the whole process.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a perfect way to end September.
