Halloween Report 2020

Bags of treats were hung on a clothesline strung between two trees.  Yes we still have some snow.

It worked well... the kids (children of our nieces, grands of my other baby brother) still got some treats and we got to see them from the house.

Afternoon visitors...their baby brother was asleep in the vehicle.

The evening visitors

Our Great Grands showed up on Facebook.

Hey Mikey!

Cee Cee

So much for the Socially Distanced Halloween 2020.

  4. Well, you found a way to have some fun. Halloween 2020 called for some ingenuity for candy distribution.

  6. Good job with the social distancing. I hope we don't have to do it next year. Steve was with me this weekend. We made jack-o-lanterns. Neither one of us had made them for a few years.

  7. I love the clothesline! My children reported some interesting experiences for those comfortable trick or treating. In their Toledo suburb, families set up tables at the end of their driveways with supervisors socially distanced in the garage. Children could walk from table to table and take a snack from those spread on a table top. In another neighborhood nearby families had set up those chutes to distribute the candy along with other methods. My favorite was a family that tied little green army men to a bundle of mini candy bars, attached little parachutes and shot them off their roof with a leaf blower!

Your grands and great grands are all such cutie pies!!

  9. Love your Halloween give out. You are so clever.

I told Clayton (12 year old grandson) I wished he could come by my house as I was passing out liver and onions in ziplock baggies.

  10. That placing of candy on the line was a good idea. You great grands are sure cute. I have shots of my grand kids but I don't know if I have enough energy to transfer them through all the hoops.

  11. The clothesline was a great idea. I enjoyed the parade of kids here. A lot of us in the park put up a table at the end of our site and then set bags of treat on them for the kids to grab. We got to see all of the cute costumes and the kids got candy. A win/win!
    Blessings,
    Betsy

  13. That was such a good idea putting the bags of candy out there on the clothesline....you still got to see the kids in action, in their costumes! Plus seeing a couple of the cuties on facebook! So fun to see the kids in their costumes. Thank goodness for clever people like you that make Halloween still happen, even in a pandemic!

  14. Your treats on a clothesline are wonderful! And I love all the cute little goblins that came to visit. Those great-grands are so adorable. Mikey is a wonderful age now to get a big kick out of the holiday and Cee Cee is the most adorable unicorn I have ever seen!

  15. Oh that worked out really good! My grands went trick or treating and people had ingenious ways of delivering the treats! Zip lines and gutters attached to a railing. People are so creative and they really wanted to give the kids their Halloween. So much has been difficult this year for everyone.
Your trick or treaters were all precious but the cutest of all were Hey Mikey and CeeCee! A unicorn...too cute!
