Word for 2019

I usually chose a word for the New Year.  A one word intention NOT a resolution.

Previous years words have been; kindness (giving all the dumb shits in the world a break), exercise (Ha!), laugh, smile, hug and dance my four words one year that I could complete a minute after midnight and be done for the entire year, ongoing, and the last one I can recall explore.

I was having a fight with myself…what to choose this year discover, explore and relax were high on my list…then I scratched explore cause I have had that word before.  Then I was left with two…what to do… what to do.  I procrastinated far too long with a decision.

I am pretty sure my word for 2019 will be relax.  Relaxing to me is photography, woodcarving, craft projects…so there will be more relaxing in 2019.

Relaxing is an excellent choice. People do not relax enough in this world. Happy relaxing year to you.

Relax is a perfect choice for the word of the year. I agree with photography being relaxing and it has been many years since I tried any wood carving!

Relax is a great choice. I don’t choose words or make resolutions because I always fail at them. Good for you in sticking with them!

I'm glad you chose that word as I can't! LOL! I am still behind from last year! I haven't chosen a word yet...I have to think on it...as last year was FINISH and I did well with that one. I hope you are RELAXing right now!

That's a great word choice.

I really like that word choice!!! I am so far behind in life right now it would be impossible. But I think I am going to write it on Dec 31 so that I can remember it for 2019. It can be my goal instead of my word!

A very good word, but for you, relaxing is relative. You do way too much most of the time, IMHO. :-)

Nice choice! Crafts are relaxing, I agree except when there's a mistake to fix......

The activities you choose will be interesting and relaxing. It would be interesting to find out what other people would consider relaxing.

Sounds like a plan! :)

I'm not into choosing a word or making new resolutions but I like the idea of "Relax" because heaven knows I have lots of time to do just that.

If I had a word I think it would be acceptance because we all need too accept what is and stop fighting what cannot be changed.

I like "relax" because it means you are enjoying what you like to do, not what someone if forcing you to do.

Relax is a great word and I hope you are getting some of that in these last few days! By "Old Reader" do you mean "Reading List"? If so, I am thinking that is a great idea. Thanks!

Good for you. I’m still waffling. It’s gotta be right!

I think you chose an excellent word Connie. May you and Far Guy do much relaxing in 2019. I think my word this year will be Simplify. I want to clean things out and make do with less. Except, of course, for fruitcake! We have just started into our favorite fruitcake made by monks and will enjoy it until the last morsel has been depleted. Happy New Year to you both!

I can’t seem to find a word for me this year. I think maybe I should use “decide” and “do’ no more waiting on decisions in life. You may have to create a large banner with relax writing on it so you won’t forget to relax.
