Turdy ate below

In Minnesota speak that is really cold.

Friday morning -38 F or -38 C  eh it is an equal temperature with our Canadian friends.

Jen said she could see the little birds breath.

However I did not see their breath ...but they were all fluffed up and scarfing down seed as fast as they could.   This one rested on the whirley/twirley-gig.

We have many Pine Siskins in the yard now.  They are fearless little creatures and will  move only as you make your way to the feeders and some will hang on for one last bite before you take the feeders away to be filled.  When you bring the feeders back they are landing before you get the feeder hung back up.

We didn't even get the mail yesterday.  We stayed in, worked on various projects and had an afternoon nap.  Remember my word for this year is relax and we are getting quite good at it!

Eww. That is just plain cold. I am with you here, stay inside and relax. That is what I did yesterday, except for chores. I did those 3 times so everyone had more food to eat to stay warm.

I gotta say, as much as i miss Minnesota, i don’t miss this! When i lived in Baudette the seats of the car would freeze hard as rocks overnight. It would feel like sitting on a block of ice and it would go right through your bones.

Brrr! One nice thing about winter, the bitter cold temperatures do encourage people to stay inside and relax.

Oh my goodness! That is cold! Meanwhile they say were in El Niño on this side of the country. It’s supposed to be a whopping 40°F today. That’s not normal for us in January. Stay warm my friend and stay inside. Blessings, Betsy

Yes!! Cold! Cold! Cold! On the other side of the world--I heard that Australia might be in for the hottest summer on record. The birds are eating like crazy and the jackrabbits are visiting before the sun sets, too. Supposed to get colder next week...and I think another winter storm is coming through Sunday. Quite a winter. I hope you have a nice big mailbox and can wait a while to get mail when you need to. :)

Headed to Ohio by Wednesday. I am sure school will be cancelled and I will have a full house of grandchildren! I have my soup supplies ready. I just feel warmer with soup on the stove.

Oh my gosh Connie....-38 for you guys is just awful. Reminds me of many years ago when we lived in Aitkin near Brainerd Minnesota. We got down to -24 last night and that's bad enough. Glad you're staying put and staying warm. This is quite the cold spell! Take good care of each other!

Brrr! That is REALLY COLD! And here I discovered that my Helebore is in bloom along with our nearby neighbor's witch hazel with the paper saying we've had an unusually mild January. Stay warm!

That's what I call stupid cold!
We haven't hit double digits (Celcius) below 0 yet this winter, and I hope it stays that way!

There is no mail worth it to go out in that cold! There are horror stories about people 'going out to get the mail' and never coming back! Don't do it!
