Puzzling

We like to put puzzles together during the Winter.  We have finished two so far this Winter.

The Pringles puzzle all the pieces were in the can.

Disney Villains puzzle...sadly this garage sale find for a dollar was missing a piece.  The black pieces were a struggle.
This one is now on the puzzle table.

I had a Video Chat with my Spine Specialist, they have prescribed yet another medication...Lyrica and have scheduled me for a different steroid injection.  If that one fails I will get a referral for surgery.

  2. I do hope the different medications will do the trick.
I enjoy jig saw puzzles, too, but don't have the room. Or don't want to give up my only table space, is more like it. ;)

  3. Maybe surgery will hold the answer. It sounds so final. Sigrid does puzzles in winter too. Big ones. If she shares one with me, I try to cheat as I dump out the pieces. I try to leave some connected. I am a very bad person. I cheat my brain while puzzling by using Sig’s work. No wonder I’m getting forgetful. I cheat myself.

  4. I never thought to do puzzles in the winter time. I may have to go shopping for one now. What do you do with them when you complete them?

    1. Donate them if they have all the pieces, the Library here in East Grand Forks has a puzzle trade all winter.

    2. Wow, I will have to see if the area libraries here do that sort of puzzle trade.

  5. I hope this new injection works. Fingers crossed. Puzzles are not my thing, but I understand why they can be fun for some people.

  7. I see you have special trays to sort the pieces into.

  8. I strongly hope you get results this time. It's been like a game of whack-a-mole for you.

  9. Your spine is the puzzle that needs to find the missing pieces. Hoping for the best possibility.

  10. I used to get jigsaw puzzles from a local library book sale and too many times they were missing a piece. Must be one of those mysteries (why?) similar to losing a sock in the dryer.

  11. I like your puzzles, particularly the first one ( book spines). Looks challenging.
I hope the different meds will be helpful and you get significant relief from pain.

  12. Those puzzles look hard. Especially with a missing piece. The Pringles one is fun! Did they really make that many different kinds of Pringles?
I had a chest xray and pacemaker inspection/download this morning, as well as a cardilogist visit. They've cleared me for my MRI on Monday. Fingers crossed that figures out what's wrong with my back and my next course of action. Hopefully an ablation like Nancy's at "Wyoming Breezes". Her's was a great success.
I hope your new med and injections work. It's tough getting old, although it was nice to walk in and give them my medicare information and be told the MRI was covered. My old insurance did the preauthorization and my portion was well over $2000.00. I'm so grateful for medicare and our new supplement.
    Blessings and hugs,
    Betsy

  13. Now I am on the hunt for the Pringles puzzle. My posse of 6 grandsons aged 5-12 are hooked on Pringles. The five year old visited Santa and asked for Pringles. Santa asked if he wanted anything else (no) dip? (no) just pringles.

  14. Forgot to add. Good luck with the lyrica. My brother in law swears by it. He has been on it for years for diabetic foot pain and can't say enough about how great it has been. I was prescribed lyrica when I had shingles. I had every single side effect. It is a drug you have to wean off, too. I always have to be different.

  17. Fun to see your puzzles! I recently did. Pringles puzzle on Jigaaw planet online. It's bit easier on my neck to do them that way. Sending good thoughts your way that your injection helps.
    Goodnight Gram

  19. Puzzles are fun, our family used to do them together and we enjoyed that time.

Hopefully this new medication helps you! Gosh, what you have been going through seems like it is endless.

  20. Neat puzzles! I brought one along with me, but other than the dining table there isn't space to work on it. I may take it outdoors to the dining area there, but I'll be careful to not have the wind blow the pieces away.
I do hope the new meds bring you some relief. I'm sure surgery is not your first choice.
