Well I have another finish. The brown coodie is done!
Jen tried it on so I could see how it fit! The original pattern was not quite what I wanted so I improvised. I think it will keep someone warm! Now that I know what I am doing I will re write the pattern for my own use. In the original pattern the nose part was too short and left a gap at the neck...so I added to the pattern to make it work like I wanted it to! Jen would like one in black...but I will do a very dark charcoal grey and maybe that one will work for her.
I have a good start on the pink project for Cee Cee. The pale green is a special project for someone special. The big ball of variegated yarn is a two strand project that is in my brain and may come out on my hook one day soon. In that colorful bag at the back is a shawl that is almost done...and yes I started another puzzle.
Yikes, that is cold.
ReplyDeleteI had ice on our bathroom vent the other day after a shower.
That ... is brrrr.
My grand daughter was telling me about her stash of yarn too!
I had to chuckle - you have multiple projects going. Makes me feel good to know I'm not the only one. LOL The icicle picture is So Minnesota!!
ReplyDeleteI would have liked to have something like that this past week!
ReplyDeleteThat "coodie" is awesome. The grands wear Baclavas? and I have a pattern for one but haven't tried it yet. Yours looks mighty cozy! Great job. Your other projects look interesting and the pink chenille for CeeCee is lovely. Keep up the good work!
ReplyDeleteThat last photo....Brrrrr. It is cold for sure. And with 25-30 mph winds from the north this afternoon don't sound great.
ReplyDeleteIt was wonderful to see your yarns and what you're planning to with them. Is the Coozie with bulky or worsted number 4 weight?
Take care and stay warm.
Blesings,
Betsy
Not bulky but I am sure it would work.
DeleteLove all your yarn projects. It's so cold here (which we are not used to) that city water pipes burst.
ReplyDeleteI'd say that is cold! The coodies look nice and warm, a really good idea. The pink and green are colors I like.
ReplyDeleteJust seeming that long icicle makes me shiver.
ReplyDeleteYes, that is the definition of cold. The coodie looks very cozy.
ReplyDeleteNow, I'm starting to think you really don't have a yarn stash because you use it up so quickly!
I so loving hearing that you are able to be working on projects and are feeling well enough to be excited about them. That is a good pattern you have created and quite necessary for those winters in Minne-snowda - - as you used to call it. Perhaps those would sell well in the store where you take some of your things?
ReplyDeleteI've got a similar pattern in my queue. Very cozy looking!
ReplyDeleteYour nose cover is perfect for MN! Not sure anyone would want a gap at the neck for a winter garment. Stay safe and warm.
ReplyDeleteGoodnight Gram
Oh! THAT is Cold. I like the brown!
ReplyDeleteGreat job! It’s perfect for those bitter cold and windy days. Love the last photo.
ReplyDeleteYour coodie is sure warm looking and that was a good alteration, sounds like.
ReplyDeleteI would say it is pretty cold at your baby brother's house...This is such a neat coodie...I've never seen one like it, but I can only imagine how warm it is and it covers the lower portion of the face. this is awesome.
ReplyDeleteThe new coodie is perfect for our winter weather!!
ReplyDeleteThat's an impressive icicle. The grands used to love finding any icicles and running around madly stabbing at each other. Luckily we didn't have any that long!
I love those pink and pale green yarns. You really work fast! Good job.
ReplyDeleteLooks like you've got lots to keep you busy!
