Hi Mom! I hacked into your computer to blog for you because I know your readers will miss you. I miss you too because now I have to take care of Dad... I mean Farguy. Relax... I throw M&M's at him every so often... I waited in the car while his infusion took forever, and I didn't even make him eat cereal for supper. Okay, okay, that isn't want I really wanted to say...

You are doing important work that of a daughter and being by your moms side as she take the last breaths of her earthly journey. I don't like to dwell on how that must feel; the unbearable weight of sadness. Yet on the other hand, how glad Grandpa must be to see her again! In our faith we know we will see each other again, and we know in heaven there is no more pain, and no more tears.

So let's pray:

"Keep watch dear Lord with those who work, or watch, or weep this night, and give your angels charge over those who sleep. Tend the sick, give rest to the weary, bless the dying, soothe the suffering, pity the afflicted, shield the joyous; and all for your love's sake." Amen.

Thank you! I clicked the link because it's what I do every day even though I knew Far Side was "off". I was surprised to see a fresh post. Thank you for sharing your journey. What a very appropriate prayer. For those of us with no words, it's perfect. Wishing the Far Side family peace during this time.

Good job taking care of Dad. I know Mom appreciates it when you do that. I'll join you in praying for Mom and Grandma too as she get's ready to see Grandpa again forever.

You're a great dog.
Blessings,

Those are such beautiful words you have written! Your family's love and care for each other is phenomenal - - as God intended it to be. THANK YOU for the update. You know we love your mom and have gained a friend(s) because of her blog. It's almost like modern day penpals.

I remember when my Mother reached this stage. Several of us were sitting around her bed trying to be quiet. Her response was, talk, talk! She wanted the comfort of hearing the voices of her loved ones.
