I had a very full day yesterday many tasks were on my list. Laundry...cleaning bathrooms and general pick up and put away. I visited my Mom in the afternoon, she is doing better and should get out of the hospital on Monday...at least that is the plan.
We got 1/2 inch of rain on Friday night so I am behind on my lawn mowing duties. I will catch up one of these days. Our weather is much cooler than it was!
Far Side
I have Red Winged Blackbirds too. Their call is really shrill—ear piercing.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad to hear your mom is doing some better.
ReplyDeleteNice photo of the black bird.
I love Red-Winged Blackbirds! Love them!
ReplyDeleteYes, glad to hear your mom is doing better. I hope she gets to come home Monday. She will be glad to be home.
ReplyDeleteThe cooler weather yesterday was just wonderful! Supposed to be the same today and then back to the 80s. I am loving having the place opened up for a while! :)
Continued prayers for your Mom. When I see or hear Red Winged Blackbirds and Meadowlarks,I know Spring has arrived. It’s rained every afternoon for the last week, but I can’t complain - the moisture is needed.
ReplyDeleteGood to hear that your Mom is on the mend. And, that it's a bit cooler out your way. Thanks for identifying the Aquatic Weed Harvester!
ReplyDeleteI'm happy to hear your mom has improved.
ReplyDeleteI can hear that red winged blackbird singing in my mind! I love their song.
Wonderful news for your Mom. I'll continue to be in prayer for her and all of you. We know it's not easy, especially when they are sick.
ReplyDeleteWe have much cooler weather today but it will warm up again over the next couple of days. But for now, the windows are open and we're enjoying it.
Blessings,
Betsy
We had 1/10th of an inch but that is better than nothing at all.
ReplyDeleteI caught up on lots of things today and not one of them was rest!
Glad your Mom is doing better. Hope she does make it out of hospital on Monday.
ReplyDeleteSounds like you caught up on a lot of things.
Sometimes just keeping your head above water is a challenge.
ReplyDeleteThis is the first year that we have noticed red winged blackbirds and there are a ton of them around! Glad to hear that your mom will be going home soon.
ReplyDeleteI'm envious of the rain you've gotten - we're hoping for some tomorrow here in northern Virginia. I'm also envious of the Red Winged Blackbird. We usually have them around, and I've not seen any this year. I wonder where they are?
ReplyDeleteI hope your Mom comes home as planned!! ❤❤
Good news for mom!
ReplyDeleteIt rained. I'm not sure how much, but it is our first rain in between 21-30 days depending on which weather person I am listening to.
Happy to hear that she is doing better ~ maybe we will see her sometime soon!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with your mother! We needed rain, as well!
ReplyDeleteI miss red wing blackbirds. They're here but just not where I live.
