Sunday was a day we did not cook. We met Jen and Andy for lunch for Father's Day and toward evening we went to the last graduation party of the season. There was lots of food there but we just had a few chips and cake.
It sounds like the weather is going to turn hot...so more no cooking may happen this week.
Salad and fruit might be on the menu more than once.
I am certain we will be thankful for air conditioning.
Far Guys flower project. He says it needs more flowers and he will work on them next winter.
Far Side
You're getting the heat and we are cooling off.
ReplyDeleteThe flowers are incredible.
That flower project is so incredible! Kudos to FG.
ReplyDeleteThose flowers are gorgeous! Does he sell these or have a how to site?
ReplyDeleteThat creation is so beautiful - - - bright cheery colors - - like all flowers! My guess is you painted it? I know he usually carves and you paint. Such talent and patience you both have. Thank you for sharing something so happy with us on Monday morning.
ReplyDeleteFar Guy's carvings are so great. They really look good on that piece of wood. There is a good variety of Minnesota blooms. I put my nose up to the screen and saw the dragon flies. Monarch is great and I just now also saw the bumble bee. I really admire this artwork, sculpture.
ReplyDeleteSalad and fruit on hot days=perfect. And I love the carvings. So pretty and cheerful.
ReplyDeleteI love the flowers, one and all.
ReplyDeleteLove this! The flowers and the added insect touches--wow! More flowers? Would make it a giant bouquet that would stop people in their tracks! :)
ReplyDeleteHis flower project is amazing!
ReplyDeleteIt sounds a little counter-intuitive, but in hot weather, I like to throw a stew in the slow cooker. Minimal effort and doesn't heat up the kitchen...one of my favourite summer meals!
Salad and Fruit sounds good! This is our first summer with an air fryer and I think it will get good use.
ReplyDeleteI prepared Father's Day dinner and Tom cooked most of it on the grill. It was only us three, Tom, Jake and me. Everyone else has scattered after the week of celebrations.
ReplyDeleteThe carved flowers are a masterpiece.
Hot is a reality here. Love the flowers.
ReplyDeleteNice collection of flowers mounted on slab.
ReplyDeleteWow....that flower project is gorgeous! Stay cool this week!
ReplyDeleteSalad and fruit are great options for hot days. There have been a lot of days recently when I wished we had air conditioning (most places don't over here).
ReplyDeleteI vote for ice cream for supper.
ReplyDeleteThough a salad sounds great.
What a nice Father's Day and Far Guy's flower arrangement is beautiful!
