Cooking and a project

Sunday was a day we did not cook.  We met Jen and Andy for lunch for Father's Day and toward evening we went to the last graduation party of the season.   There was lots of food there but we just had a few chips and cake.

It sounds like the weather is going to turn hot...so more no cooking may happen this week.

Salad and fruit might be on the menu more than once.

I am certain we will be thankful for air conditioning.

Far Guys flower project.  He says it needs more flowers and he will work on them next winter.

Those flowers are gorgeous! Does he sell these or have a how to site?

That creation is so beautiful - - - bright cheery colors - - like all flowers! My guess is you painted it? I know he usually carves and you paint. Such talent and patience you both have. Thank you for sharing something so happy with us on Monday morning.

Far Guy's carvings are so great. They really look good on that piece of wood. There is a good variety of Minnesota blooms. I put my nose up to the screen and saw the dragon flies. Monarch is great and I just now also saw the bumble bee. I really admire this artwork, sculpture.

I love the flowers, one and all.

Love this! The flowers and the added insect touches--wow! More flowers? Would make it a giant bouquet that would stop people in their tracks! :)

His flower project is amazing!

It sounds a little counter-intuitive, but in hot weather, I like to throw a stew in the slow cooker. Minimal effort and doesn't heat up the kitchen...one of my favourite summer meals!

Salad and Fruit sounds good! This is our first summer with an air fryer and I think it will get good use.

I prepared Father's Day dinner and Tom cooked most of it on the grill. It was only us three, Tom, Jake and me. Everyone else has scattered after the week of celebrations.
The carved flowers are a masterpiece.

Salad and fruit are great options for hot days. There have been a lot of days recently when I wished we had air conditioning (most places don't over here).

I vote for ice cream for supper.

Though a salad sounds great.
