Hello October

We said Goodbye to September and a week full of medical appointments.   Hope we are done for a bit.  Chronic Lymes is still kicking my butt.

Yesterday after the last medical appointment we went to Menards...had not been there for a long time so I wandered through the solar light aisle and filled up my cart!  Well not quite but I have new solar lights in  the yard now.  Found the cutest fairy lights that are battery operated for the wreath outside the door.   We went out for lunch through the drive through at A & W.   Talk about a big day in town!!

Back at home I painted the garage door...it will need a second coat....Far Guy woodcarved and worked on Tilly.   It was a really nice Fall day 71F or 22 C eh!

After supper ( Ribs and a Baked Potato) I sat outside and watched all the new solar lights come on!  Only one party pooper...and it may just need more solar rays:)

I love solar lights and I had them in the shape of hummingbirds in the garden. Mine eventually wore out and I didn't replace them.

That tree is gorgeous!

Hoping you feel better soon. I like your idea of a 'party'.. ribs, baked potatoes and solar lights. Sounds good to me!

I'm sorry you have Lyme disease. We are having a light short rain, I wish it would be all day. A month of medical appointments is a lot. Enjoy October.

We always had a bunch of solar lights at the lake on top of the hill so we wouldn't fall down it during the night. We had some here at the house when we moved last year but they didn't last long. I think it was a defective batch. Believe it or not, the ones we've had that lasted longest were the ones I bought at the Dollar Tree. :-)
Ribs and baked potatoes sound good. Thursday I made a crockpot of chili that bubbled away while we were with Mom, but yesterday was a busy day with Mom and helping a family member so we ended up ordering pizza and picking it up on the way home. That was a real treat and very good!
I hope you start feeling better. I hate to hear that you're still dealing with the nasty effects of Lyme. I know it never really goes away, but it would be nice to feel better.
Take care,
Blessings and hugs,
Betsy

I sure your battle with Lyme disease can be won soon. Enjoy those fall colours!

That is an especially packed day when your butt is being kicked by Lyme's! Kudos on the new solar lights. Hope the one will work.

It’s a chilly day (59°) with a light rain - just enough to wet the sidewalk. Sorry to hear that you’re still dealing with the latest Lymes flare. Love the beautiful colors in the photo!

Nothing like keeping busy to be happy and satisfied.

We just had a date at Menards! We went in the morning when it is less crowded and ordered the closet doors I talked about on my blog. We didn't get to have dinner out though. I guess I spent too much on doors, lol.

Considering that you're not feeling well you get a lot done!!

It must be very hard to stay patient and kind to yourself and others when you are constantly bombarded with Lyme Disease. I know when I am having a hard day physically I tell myself and Tom that I just feel mean but I will try very hard not to be. Please forgive me if I am.
Enjoy your new lights as dusk makes way for darkness. Joy keeps the mean away.

I love solar lights! I buy a few at the Dollar Tree every spring and now I have enough to go around our entire back yard fence and the flower beds in the front yard. I just love the look of them.

I too need to buy some new solar lights. My one that still works on works part time. That is an amazing orange color.
