Phoebe ( Grandson Adam's cat) is hidden from Sadie.
All snuggled up in a basket in the craft room. The basket is on top of a desk so this hiding spot should be safe for a bit.
Sadie can jump on the couch now...that used to be Phoebe's safe spot.
Yesterday it was a cold day, we left for an appointment and there were sun dogs out...very bright sun dogs. So without consulting a thermometer I knew it was cold. After a few errands we stayed in hiding also. AND today it is supposed to be even colder the weatherman said -50 windchills...uffda....good thing we have no place to be and we can hide all day today too.

Glad Phoebe found a safe spot. Today is very cold - single digits with below zero windchill. Tomorrow will be below zero temperatures with double digit windchill. Needles to say I have cancelled all appointments and am staying indoors for the next 2 days. Stay safe and warm.
Now that is cold! I love the way cats snuggle up in the cold. :-)
I didn't look at our windchills but they are going to be nasty tonight. I have to bundle up and head out this morning to do chores.
VA video interview today and staying warm are on our schedules.
Sadie is smart, she'll come out when she wants to play!
Stay warm!
Uffda is right! Isn't it funny how the sun dogs tell us it's bitter cold. We have them today. I have an appointment at noon to give blood, and kind of hate the idea of going out. Brrrr!
My deck behind the house is out cold thermometer. When it gets this cold out, it starts making loud popping noices.
Phoebe is a beauty!
50 below wind chill is very very cold. Stay in!
Phoebe is sweet curled in the basket. I hope Sadie isn’t able to find her there. Stay safe and warm!
Phoebe looks so comfy and happy! Your cold weather sounds dangerous. I hope you can stay in!
I can’t imagine it being that cold. 20 degrees sounds frigid to me.
Wow, that is cold. Those kitties look warm and cozy and I am glad you are staying that way, too.
Wow, that's cold. Sounds like a good day to snuggle up like a cat.
Phoebe is a beautiful cat. All those colors. Looks like a basket of fur samples. I can't even imagine it being that cold. Guess I need to stop complaining about the cold here..It would probably seem warm to you folks. Take care.
We don't often see sundogs this far south. Tom and I saw them early one morning when I was driving him to work.
When I left for my neurologist appointment this morning it was a "feels like" temperature of -12F. Tonight is supposed to be even colder but I don't think I have to go anywhere tomorrow.
Take care and keep on hibernating.
Blessings,
Betsy
What a beautiful cat!
Stay safe and warm!!
Smart Phoebe! And she has a box...best cat trap in the world.
It was miserable here yesterday and today, with warmer weather forecast for tomorrow. I hope it reaches you soon.
That is extremely cold! It was 36 here today but a far cry from yesterday's 62! that was nice. I'm glad Phoebe found somewhere....everyone needs their own "spot". Glad you got back home safe and warm.
We will get up to 12 tomorrow and I am breaking out. We have had grandchildren 24/7 since Sunday with school closings and the roads are plowed and salted with nothing falling from the sky in the immediate future. I am actually entering the grocery store with my mask so I will be there when the doors open.
We are experiencing bitter cold too. And we are so glad we have no where to go! Stay warm and have a good week!
Glad you're all hiding out in this miserable cold weather. You and Phoebe are pretty smart cookies indeed! Maybe you can hide until the weather warms up!
She is so pretty!
Yup--good days to hide. ;)
Hiding with animals is the BEST!
Cats are good at taking care of themselves. This is a pretty kitty.
Smart kitty. Brrr! Even I think that's cold... Stay warm while hiding inside.
It's not THAT cold here, but plenty cold enough for me. Katie loves it and wants to be outside, even if it's just to stand in the yard and gaze at her domain. Mama (me) tells her to hurry up and find a spot, do her business, and let's get back inside!
