Grass Side

In my opinion this is one great sculpture.   I am a connoisseur  of lawn mower blades....however my used blades were never as good looking as the blades used in the sculpture.  Far Guy says I use my blades up until there is not much left of them.

When you look closer all the parts come together.

Just when you thought you had seen it all...you see a good use of old blades.

Very interesting. I wouldn't want it in my backyard but it makes for a good conversation piece.

The bugs in the sculpture are cool!

That is pretty darn unique! And I loved the glimpse of green grass when it is blindingly white outside my window! We did get up to 10 last night, but I am not planning on leaving the house today.

Well, I guess it's a good use of old blades but I still am not overly fond of modern art. It makes no sense in my humble opinion. But, as much as you love mowing and mulching, I can see where you would really like it.
Blessings,
Betsy

Unique and quite clever! I like that turquoise "bug" in the bottom photo.

That would be a great sculpture for a community garden site. Recycling, insect art - what's there not to love, in the right context? Alana ramblinwitham.blogspot.com

Unusual, but certainly a creative way to use a bit of scrap.

I do like all of the critters that those blades are sheltering.

I've always thought it was amazing how an artist can make something out of most any kind of junk. A decorative way to recycle. I'm afraid I am like you when it comes to lawn mower blades. I tend to be pretty rough on them mowing over a little of everything at times!

That is so cool! If I tried that that, I would undoubtedly cut myself to shreds!

It's amazing the things people make with random objects these days.

What fun!

You're not the only one who uses up most of the blade. I bet you sharpen your own blades too!

Excellent use of old blades! Absolutely! :)

This is really cool, I had to look at each of the photos closely. I like/love the insects and little creatures that are seemingly hidden at first glance.
Art produces reactions and some will be of the curious nature, revulsion, or awe. I pick awe on this one.

I think it's sort of cute, all right. I also like all the bugs inside. :-)

Interesing but I'm not sure if I like it or not

Interesting. I like the metal bugs/creatures best. Reminds me of the repurposed metal critters Dr. Evermore is known for creating. He has a huge sculpture park: http://www.worldofdrevermor.com/

Very unique! Is it supposed to be a bird? The colored parts are lovely.
