It warmed up to -35 F Sunday morning. That is 2 degrees warmer than Saturday morning! Improvements are improvements! Think positive not negative.
Far Guy is about the same, he is not worse so we are thankful for that. His cough is miserable and makes my chest hurt.
Cards we got on Friday! Representing Minnesota, Pennsylvania, Iowa, Ohio and California.
Two cards were identical but from Iowa and California. The cards on both ends of the bottom are original artwork.
New Christmas ornaments this year.
The cross stitch Log Cabin Christmas is from Sam, Christmas Blessings is from Sarah a crafty friend of Jen's and the Turtle Dove is a stitched felt ornament from Jen. ( Last year we got the Partridge and the Pear)
I am still thinking about what my word for 2022 is...my one or two word intention instead of a resolution.
Far Side
Glad Far Guy is no worse... That's good at least. And you'll figure out your word soon, I'm sure.
ReplyDeleteHow about calm for your word...
ReplyDeleteThe ornaments are so wonderful! Glad you are two degrees warmer! Now we need Far Guy two degrees better! Hope he kicks this cough soon.
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear FG is no worse and hopefully has turned the corner. Lovely cards!
ReplyDeleteSadie sure is cute. Keeping Far Guy in my prayers that he gets better soon.
ReplyDeleteI just blind-picked one of my angel cards - it was OPENNESS - think that has to do with my heart and mind.
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry to hear that Far Guy is sick, Connie. Is he wearing a mask if he needs to go outside? His damp lungs do not need to breathe in that kind of cold air, for sure. I remember being taught in nursing school that wet lungs can get frostbitten in temperatures above 32*F so with Far Guy's lungs being wet with illness, he surely has to keep the cold air out of them. I will pray for him & thanks for keeping us updated. Happy New Year! ~Andrea XOXOXO
ReplyDeleteSome really wonderful new ornaments, and it's always fun to get cards and letters in the mail.
ReplyDeleteI'm tettering on the edge of NOT getting any cards sent out this year, even for New Years. I just can't gather enough energy yet.
Lovely cards! Happy new year to you and your family.
ReplyDeleteThe ornaments are sweet! I continue to hope that Far Guy improves. No worse is better than nothing I guess.
ReplyDeleteIt's warmed up considerably here, just -19C (-2F) this morning. It felt practically balmy!
Whoa Nelly! That is SO cold. We were actually above zero this morning. I'm glad Far Guy is no worse but we want him completely better so I'm praying a lot for him and for you too.
ReplyDeleteLovely cards and ornaments. They are all full of love.
Blessings,
Betsy
The card with the gnome on the beach is adorable! Please do not send those cold temperatures southwest!
ReplyDeleteI love the cards and gifts! My daughter-in-law made an advent calendar for us this year and among the gifts in it she stitched all the ornaments of the 12 days of Christmas just like your Turtle Dove. They are beautiful! We didn't have the best December due to health issues but her gift sure did brighten our days!
ReplyDeleteMy wife gets this hard cough for the winter. It is related to her hear health problems and more humidity in the air just doesn't help it. I really like the turtle dove.
ReplyDeleteIt's a scary time of year; many with health issues suffer in the winter. Especially in the cold you have right now. You received some beautiful cards. Alana ramblinwitham.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteHope Far Guy gets better soon..
ReplyDeleteIt's fun to still be getting cards, especially since it's too cold to go outside and play. :-)
ReplyDeleteWe have one more day of undecorating to do, cleaning as we go.
I waited in a very long car line today to get COVID tested.
This blistering cold is enough to make the chest hurt!
ReplyDeleteLove your ornaments and love your cards! Praying for Far Guy to get much better soon. Praying for warmer temps too!
ReplyDeleteWhat lovely cards and ornaments. I love Jen's stitched felt bird! I keep praying for Far Guy....and your entire family.
