C for Changes and Car

I got the car to town for the oil change /tire rotation appointment.  What is there to do in a car dealership whilst you are waiting...give our old salesman Joe a bad time about vehicles. Joe has been gone for a year he worked for a different dealership for a bit.  Now he is back...I shared with him how the other salesmen just didn't want to find us a Buick that had heated seats and steering wheel that was NOT white, black or silver.

I sent a text to Far Guy...then Joe called Far Guy.

I took a picture so Far Guy could see the color.

Far Guy says "I like that color."   This is NOT the vehicle...cause this one does not have heated seats or steering wheel.  However one this same color with  heated seats and heated steering wheel is available at a different dealership... so we are thinking about it.

Yes it is a Buick...my Grandparents always drove a Buick.

It is exactly the same as the Buick we have now...except that one is three years old and Winterberry Red. Far Guy says we should probably trade it in since the bugs are hard to get off the front.

Oh well...time will tell...who goes to town for an oil change and comes back with a new car anyways.

LOL. A couple years ago, while we were eating out (oh those were the days, eating out!) I told my husband that I wasn't willing to drive our car on longer trips anymore as it had given me major problems two times while I was a long way from home. And after we ate we stopped at a car lot just to look at what was out there, and found our next car, and husband bought it the next day. So it is possible, and that is a mighty pretty Buick!

Well I did that two years ago! I went for an oil change and had my Subaru CrossTrek appraised and two days later I was driving a blue Outback. I wanted to go back to the Outback for the extra room to transport wheel chairs, groceries, and some day camp in it!
Looks nice. I have heated seats and they are lovely.
I am thinking of getting a newer model in the next year or so. Probably my last one until I quit driving?

That is a nice looking car!

My Dad was a loyal Buick owner. I do like the color blue on the car in the picture. Wouldn't hav surprised me if you had said you bought the car. Haha

It won't be long before a new car shows up in your driveway, I predict. I like that color, too. :-)

Big decisions!

I like that color too. I am so overdue for a trade in but now that I never go anywhere besides the grocery store, which is less than a mile away, I think I'll just keep putting along in my little old car.

I like the color ~ I have learned that cars just happen (sometimes when you have no idea) LOL :)

My husband has gone in for an oil change - TWICE - and come home with a new car!! But he trades car every 2 years because he puts so many miles on for work. I'm with you on wanting something that isn't grey, white, tan, or black. I wanted red the last time I traded, but ended up settling for tan because it had the features I wanted. Sigh!

Well, I once went for coffee with friends and bought a sofa. But that's a far cry from buying a car after an oil change. Good luck with the decision.

Take care and stay well.

That's a beautiful car! Heated seats would sure be nice in the winter, especially where you live!

Yesterday was "B" and today is "C", where was "A"? ☺

Nice car! In my opinion, heated seats are a necessity in the winter. I love the ones in my car.

I like the blue.
We drive our cars along time. In fact our mini-van is 20 years old. Lots of oil changes have come and gone.

I bet far more people than you would think come back with a new car.

I do not like salesmen who try and tell me what I want and doesn't lissen to what we say we want.

Soooo, why not?! We had a car with a heated steering wheel (and seats). I ADORED getting my hands warmed as I drove on cold days. Sadly, we have not had another car with that luxury.

That's a nice looking car. Heated seats and steering wheel are just what you need with your bitterly cold winters. And that blue is really cute.

Wet faille fabric (or a scrubby) will remove those bugs!

I had to laugh. I'm taking Dennis's truck in for an oil change tomorrow and he wants me to check out a new F350 to pull our trailer. We don't plan on buying anything for at least a year or two but what's the harm in looking? Well..you know the harm!
That's a pretty blue.
Blessings,
Betsy

I like the blue! My late mother loved for me to turn on the heated seat and then buy her an ice cream cone to eat while driving around! lol On your newest post, I love FG's wood carving of the flower and the spoon is great, too.

I do like me a Buick. But my husband keeps buying Chev products (insert eye roll).

I knew that was bellflower when I saw it! His carving of that is so awesome! I'm looking forward to what he carves next. // My daughter-in-law had a vehicle exactly like that and in that same blue when she and my son met, those are great little cars. I own a Buick (2002, needs lots of work we can't afford lol), and have had a couple others in the past. Both the kids have cars with heated seats and steering wheels, freaks me out when they have me drive so I turn that part off lol.

Nice color!

That blue is wonderful. I really like my Buick car. I won't find another as they stopped making it. We really don't have many miles on ours. I am thinking the bellflower is the one that is so invasive at my house in Woodwerd. I quit fighting it in a back garden and three years later it has invaded the whole area.

I am really behind the times! I had no idea they had heated steering wheels. That's awesome! My aunt and uncle always drove a Buick and my other aunt and uncle drove Pontiacs...do they make Pontiacs anymore?
